He gets with Serena, she leaves, and he becomes unenthusiastic about his relationship with Blair. Serena comes back, she breaks his heart, and he goes of and becomes a man-whore. He likes Blair, Vanessa, and maybe even Jenny (shudders). But he's not IN LOVE with them, like Lauren said. He's only really been in love with Serena, and you could totally see it in the way that he looked at her and the way he constantly chased after her in the beginning of S1. I believe that the reason why all of Nate's relationships have gone ker-plunk is because he still loves Serena, he's trying to find something to replace that, but he just can't do it. He can't fully commit to a relationship or give his whole self to someone (e.g. Vanessa, Blair, Jenny) because he still loves Serena. A part of him still belongs to her. She is his true love. And I think Serena was in love with him too, but it's faded out a bit since she met Dan. But once they get back together, the chemistry will be explosive, and they'll be an awesome couple.
