Ofcourse they are friends and know eachother! I read in an interview with Claire and she was saying how Indiana's a great addition to the group and how she's a great actress and all that. She also said that she was really nice and great to hang around, so yeah they know eachother and are friends. And anyway if there's a season 4, Claire will probably return and so they would end up becoming great friends... but they already are!
