What years does Harry see the whole sorting ceremony and in the years he doesn't, why not?

The years that he sees the sorting ceremony are: First, fourth, and fifth.

In seconde jaar Ron and Harry fly Mr Weasley's car to school and hit the whomping willow and are forced to eat in McGonagall's office.

In third jaar Harry is late after fainting on the train because of the dementor.

In sixth jaar Malfoy breaks Harry's nose and hides him under his invisibility cloak. Tonks finds him and walks him back to school and he is late again.
