Although Dobby was a smaller character we all must admit that we cried at his death. Unless we're heartless. Dobby was full of such life and kindness. He had such compassion for Harry and appreciated him. He wanted to save Harry because Harry had helped him which often put Harry in a worse place. Harry and Dobby eventually became vrienden even though they weren't close at first. Dobby was door Harry's side throughout everything even when Harry didn't want him to be. Dobby had few close relationships. He had a very close one with Harry and he was still trying to find a way to thank Harry for freeing...

*Diagon Alley is a cobbled wizarding straat and shopping area located in London behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. Many of the set pieces were re-dressed and repurposed as Hogsmeade for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

*To create the magical moment when Harry's wand chooses him in Ollivanders, filmmakers slowed the film speed, which is normally twenty-four frames per second, to one hundred and twenty frames per second.Remarkably, this dilation of time, some clever lighting, a smoke machine, and a fan were all they needed to produce this effect.
Throughout the Harry Potter books, there are some variations between the Bloomsbury (British) and Scholastic (American) editions. Below the first section on "Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's" is a section on other different terminologies used.

Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's

When Scholastic was publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in America, they decided to rename the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. They claimed that the American and British uses of the word philosopher were a bit different, so therefore sorcerer was a meer appropriate word. Any true Harry Potter fan, American...

1) Hermione's last name was going to be Puckle.
2) Hedwig was played door a male in the movies.
3) If a Muggle were to come across Hogwarts, all they would see was a sign that said, "Keep out, dangerous building."
4) Fred and George were born on April Fool's Day... That should explain their mischievous acts :)

Headmaster Albus Dumbledore: His first name is from the Latin word alba, "white." His last name, according to Rowling interviews, is Old English for "bumblebee." In colour symbolism, white often stands for purity, so the headmaster's name suggests honour and a hard-working nature ("busy as a bee").
Professor Binns: A bin is a large storage container. A dustbin is British English for a garbage can. This boring professor could be described as a ghostly storage for information that many Hogwarts students view as rubbish.
Headmaster Armando Dippet: Armando is from the name Armand,...

If not little known, at least little remembered. ;) I've collected here eleven (in my opinion) of the most interesting and useful ones. Plus my commentaren on some of them.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

1. There is no such thing as a pureblood family. Every wizarding family has a muggle of a few among them. Some just choose to kruis them over in their family boom and pretend they don't exist and instead claim themselves as purebloods.

^I can see Blacks and Malfoys doing that. But makes me wonder why were the Crouches noted as purebloods then, as evidently the father and son were not passionate about purity of blood....

I decided to write this artikel because I have seen many commentaren lately that kind of bother me.

There are several picks in which this has come up, but the last one I have seen, and the reason why I am writing this is the question: ¿Have u completely changed your attitude towards a character after reading/watching their past stories? (or something along those lines)

link

It is a really interesting question, and what really caught my attention were the answers, the comments, especially since it wasn't the first time that I am reading commentaren like those.

The thing is that in that pick, James...

Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley. They had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. He became head of the Auror's Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Ginny Weasley played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. After deciding to raise a family, she retired and became Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet.

Hermione Granger married to Ron Weasely and had two children, Rose and Hugo. Hermione went back to Hogwarts and sat her NEWTS before working for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and helping house elves. She then moved to the Department...

Dolores Umbridge: the horrible woman who is the most cruel and hated character in the Harry Potter series. Here are 100 reasons as to why I hate Dolores Umbridge.

1) She believes in extremely harsh, severe, and cruel punishments.

2)Too much pink.

3) She's just doesn't make sense. Like, how she tells everyone to raise their hands if they want to speak, but then she ignores them.

4) She's racist. Well, she's technically "half-breed-ist", because she thinks wizards and witches are better than centaurs, werewolves, goblins, elves, etc. I hate that, because without the help of a lot of half breeds,...

So i noticed a lot of people making these types of artikels and i wanted to make one about my favoriete Harry Potter character.

First off i love her personality. She's definitely an individual. She's not afraid of being who she is and i find that admirable because u see so many people try to change themselves. Her wacky, funny personality is what makes her awesome! She also has so many great quotes quotes:
"Wit beyond measure is a mans greatest treasure"
"Your just as sane as i am!"
"Oooh, look, a Blibbering Humdinger!"
"Nobody's ever asked me to a party before, as a friend! Is that why u dyed...

Guys, this is for those of u who enjoy reading/support Ron&Hermione Pairing.

Sixth Year
Hermione's POV

Oh, I wanted to stempel, punch her. Right then and there, and shove her to the floor for good measure. I'm talking about Lavender Brown, who had her lips pressed against the one person I loved enough to feel immediate hatred for her. Ron. I wanted to do horrible things to her. Instead, I stood there in shock, tears welling up in my eyes. Harry turned to face me, and I turned away, running towards my dormitory. I slammed the door, which made not even a dent in the sound that was coming from downstairs....

How often does it happen that we decide to watch a film in the theatre, then zoek it online, and then leave it to finish downloading first so that we could watch it some other time, and then end up, ultimately, forgetting about it altogether? Quite often, I’d say!
There’s nothing wrong in choosing to download the film u are here for, but when u can link, why not simply sit down and enjoy it first, and then worry about whether u want to keep this film with your forever! It’s not only acceptable in the film-fan world, but it’s also the idea in vogue. Furthermore, outing to cinema...

A handy-dandy Wikihow artikel on how to make a horcrux, for all u aspiring Dark witches and wizards out there!
Credit: wikihow.com

1. Become an extremely powerful witch of wizard. This will take years of study and sacrifice which lie beyond the scope of a WikiHow article. As a general guide u should not attempt to create a horcrux until u can cast non-verbal killing curses.

2. Locate an object of extreme significance to you. An emotional attachment to the object will aid the process and make it easier on your body and soul.

3. Bathe in the Water of Sorrows and eat 1 cup of paste made from...

Bellatrix Lestrange
I have been on the Harry Potter spot for a while now and I constantly find myself getting asked "why do u like Bellatrix?" So I decided to type up this article. Thank u lifeisgoodx3 for inspiring me to do so.

So why would some one like a person who killed Sirius, Dobby, Tonks, and tortured Hermione and the Longbottms? Well I actually have multiple reasons as to why I like her; Bellatrix stands for what she believes in, she's crazy and funny, pretty, unique, strong and confident, she has an interesting story behind her, I can relate to her, she has potential to be a good guy, and I have a...

Harry Potter and the Philosopher/Sorcerer's Stone
For Jessica, who loves stories, for Anne, who loved them too, and for Di, who heard this one first.
Explanation: Jessica is JK Rowling’s twelve-year-old daughter. Anne was Jo’s mother, who, unfortunately, died of Multiple Sclerosis on December 30th, 1990. Dianne, of “Di," is Jo’s younger sister who she read Philosopher/Sorcerer’s Stone before Jo sent it off to be reviewed.

I'm basing this review mostly on J.K. Rowling's official words and a little on the books's content. I write this regarding how the vraag of the educating style is often pondered and some even think "all pure-bloods were home pagina schooled".

The purity of one's blood is not relevant to how a child is schooled before Hogwarts. With the exception of families like Malfoys of Blacks who would probably die before sending their kids amongst muggles to learn anything. But whatever few pure-blood families there were left - as far as I see - most of them are not known to be like those two, but have a respectable...
