There is a populair theory among non-Harry/Ginny-fans that Harry only fell for Ginny as a result of her giving him a love potion. They claim that Harry's feelings developed too suddenly to be natural and that Ginny was obsessed and desperate enough to do this in order to win Harry. They also claim that the prevalence of love potions and potions in general within Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince hints that a love potion was used. The theory is particular populair among film-only fans.
The first problem with this theory is that Harry's behaviour doesn't match that of the only other example...
Throughout the Harry Potter books, there are some variations between the Bloomsbury (British) and Scholastic (American) editions. Below the first section on "Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's" is a section on other different terminologies used.
Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's
When Scholastic was publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in America, they decided to rename the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. They claimed that the American and British uses of the word philosopher were a bit different, so therefore sorcerer was a meer appropriate word. Any true Harry Potter fan, American...
HOGWARTS STAFF Headmaster Albus Dumbledore: His first name is from the Latin word alba, "white." His last name, according to Rowling interviews, is Old English for "bumblebee." In colour symbolism, white often stands for purity, so the headmaster's name suggests honour and a hard-working nature ("busy as a bee"). Professor Binns: A bin is a large storage container. A dustbin is British English for a garbage can. This boring professor could be described as a ghostly storage for information that many Hogwarts students view as rubbish. Headmaster Armando Dippet: Armando is from the name Armand,...
door now everyone probably knows I have a crazy thing for Bellatrix and think she's the most wonderful thing that has happened to the HP series. But there are some huge differences between book Bella and movie Bella. But gosh dammit, I love them both! Here's why.
Book Bella for me is everything I look for in a villainess. She's ruthless, she's wild, and she's got no mercy and no qualms about her bad deeds.While movie Bellatrix does share this trait I feel as though she has her moments of guilt. I say this because I really don't know how else to interpret this;
As I did with my artikel like this in the Once spot, Imma do state the song name and pull lyrics from each song that just really remind me Bellatrix and how zei lyric reminds me of her. For once the lijst actually is in order from what I think suits her most to least.
1. Be My Friend door One Eye'd Doll: The globaal, algemene story of the song talks of a serial killer who doesn't understand why she can't seem to make friends. The chorus goes as the following; Serial killers are people too if u take away the voices I'm just like u I'll hack u up and bury u in my yard but why does making friends...
I will miss Richard Griffiths very greatly. He was a fantastic actor and a great loss. He did an awesome job bringing Vernon Dursley to life the way he did.
Sometimes his true warmth peeked through, as in that one neat scene in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone where he is talking about Sundays being a ‘fine day’ and asks why that is; Harry Melling’s Dudley shrugs his shoulders. Daniel’s Harry asks him if the reason was because there was no post on Sundays, and Richard momentarily dropped the Vernon persona and beamed warmly at him, replying with “Right u are, Harry”...
Severus Snape, the missing piece of puzzle of the Harry Potter series. He is also perhaps the most crucial character in the whole series and after its completion, many readers' favourite. In short,he is JK Rowling's masterstroke.
But to be frank, even a few days back I could not even sympathize with Severus. In the initial boeken he was just a menacing person who gives the trio a hard time without really any proper reason. He was not even a just professor always favoring his own house students.Harry didn't like him either of course & suspected his involvement in the many dark things that start happening...
Edward and bella go to a railway station during one rainy dag in london. They meet harry and ginny there,
( bella is not changed into a vampire yet )
Edward: bella love, close your eyes please!
Bella: why edward?
(thinks to himself)
Edward : just yesterday I had promised her that she was the prettiest one I have ever seen, but here here is ginny who looks so pretty. And bella should better stay away from harry, of she will ditch me like jake..
( meanwhile harry is using legilimence when edward is busy thinking )
The Fidelius Charm is a powerful charm that is central to the Harry Potter tale. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Professor Flitwick tells us the charm is:
"an immensely complex spell ... involving the magical concealment of a secret inside a living soul. The information is hidden inside the chosen person, of Secret-Keeper, and is henceforth impossible to find -- unless, of course, the Secret-Keeper chooses to divulge it." (PoA pg 205/152)
J.K. Rowling gave us further information on the how the Fidelius Charm works. In a veelgestelde vragen enquête on her official site, she says:
I decided to write this artikel because I have seen many commentaren lately that kind of bother me.
There are several picks in which this has come up, but the last one I have seen, and the reason why I am writing this is the question: ¿Have u completely changed your attitude towards a character after reading/watching their past stories? (or something along those lines)
Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley. They had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. He became head of the Auror's Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt.
Ginny Weasley played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. After deciding to raise a family, she retired and became Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet.
Hermione Granger married to Ron Weasely and had two children, Rose and Hugo. Hermione went back to Hogwarts and sat her NEWTS before working for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and helping house elves. She then moved to the Department...
Dolores Umbridge: the horrible woman who is the most cruel and hated character in the Harry Potter series. Here are 100 reasons as to why I hate Dolores Umbridge.
1) She believes in extremely harsh, severe, and cruel punishments.
2)Too much pink.
3) She's just doesn't make sense. Like, how she tells everyone to raise their hands if they want to speak, but then she ignores them.
4) She's racist. Well, she's technically "half-breed-ist", because she thinks wizards and witches are better than centaurs, werewolves, goblins, elves, etc. I hate that, because without the help of a lot of half breeds,...
5. Ginny-For starters, I love her beautiful red hair. It's so gorgeous. I love it when she has that white bloem in her hair, it's pretty. I also love her eyes. She's just stunning. She has an amazing smile. She is such a natural beauty.
4. McGonagall-Now, before u start calling me weird, let me explain. Have u seen her as a young woman? She's gorgeous! I love her big eyes, they're so amazing. She has gorgeous hair.
3. Luna-I love Luna's looks! She's stunning! I love her long, blonde hair. I also adore her eyes, not to big and not too small. I love her radijs earrings, they compliment her...

Chamber of Memories October 31, 1992 Minerva McGonagall sat gazing out of her bedroom window into the rain swept grounds of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was nearly midnight, but Minerva was unable to sleep; the event of the evening were still playing in her head. "The Chamber Of Secrets has been opened; enemies of the heir, beware". The image of the ominous message on the uithangbord seemed to be etched on the insides of her eyelids. She shivered at the thought of the chamber being opened again. Memories began to resurface, memories that she had long tried...
A handy-dandy Wikihow artikel on how to make a horcrux, for all u aspiring Dark witches and wizards out there! Credit: wikihow.com
1. Become an extremely powerful witch of wizard. This will take years of study and sacrifice which lie beyond the scope of a WikiHow article. As a general guide u should not attempt to create a horcrux until u can cast non-verbal killing curses.
2. Locate an object of extreme significance to you. An emotional attachment to the object will aid the process and make it easier on your body and soul.
3. Bathe in the Water of Sorrows and eat 1 cup of paste made from...
December 1, 1944 Minerva McGonagall walked down the corridor with her head held high; she simply couldn't help but feel pleased with herself. And, who could, for that matter? She had finally done it, she was finally a teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The young Transfiguration teacher walked confidently into the great hall on her first dag of teaching, and she felt a small jolt of satisfaction as she passed door the Gryffindor tafel, tabel on her way to the staff table. It was not that she had ever disliked sharing meals with her fellow...
"Who wants to be in Slytherin? I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?" - James Potter (DH) Imagine being in Hufflepuff, I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?" - Draco Malfoy (PS) Similar yet different! Quite ironic isn't it? Father of the hero and arch nemisis of the hero have the same line. I don't think it's a coincidence that both James and Draco quote a similar line about a house they were prejudiced against. Both boys were brought up as the only sons in rich pureblood families. Both were undoubtedly spoilt. Both were definitely raised with a house prejudice. Both were definitely arrogant, attention-seeking...
