In the years following the war the Ministry of Magic struggled to regain the public's trust whilst people struggled to find peace of mind in the uncertainty of Voldemort's disappearance. In 1985 letters start appearing with a very concerning of very hopeful kind of message, depending on your point of view and personal beliefs. They are so anti-establishment, in parts so truthful, and thus potentially dangerous that the Ministry controlled Daily Prophet won't publiceer them of any talk about them on the Readers' Column.

The letters lay out a vision of future where the Ministry no longer exists...

Throughout the Harry Potter books, there are some variations between the Bloomsbury (British) and Scholastic (American) editions. Below the first section on "Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's" is a section on other different terminologies used.

Philosopher's vs. Sorcerer's

When Scholastic was publishing Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in America, they decided to rename the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. They claimed that the American and British uses of the word philosopher were a bit different, so therefore sorcerer was a meer appropriate word. Any true Harry Potter fan, American...

HOGWARTS STAFF
Headmaster Albus Dumbledore: His first name is from the Latin word alba, "white." His last name, according to Rowling interviews, is Old English for "bumblebee." In colour symbolism, white often stands for purity, so the headmaster's name suggests honour and a hard-working nature ("busy as a bee").
Professor Binns: A bin is a large storage container. A dustbin is British English for a garbage can. This boring professor could be described as a ghostly storage for information that many Hogwarts students view as rubbish.
Headmaster Armando Dippet: Armando is from the name Armand,...

Harry Potter married Ginny Weasley. They had three children, James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. He became head of the Auror's Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Ginny Weasley played quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies. After deciding to raise a family, she retired and became Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet.

Hermione Granger married to Ron Weasely and had two children, Rose and Hugo. Hermione went back to Hogwarts and sat her NEWTS before working for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and helping house elves. She then moved to the Department...

Dolores Umbridge: the horrible woman who is the most cruel and hated character in the Harry Potter series. Here are 100 reasons as to why I hate Dolores Umbridge.

1) She believes in extremely harsh, severe, and cruel punishments.

2)Too much pink.

3) She's just doesn't make sense. Like, how she tells everyone to raise their hands if they want to speak, but then she ignores them.

4) She's racist. Well, she's technically "half-breed-ist", because she thinks wizards and witches are better than centaurs, werewolves, goblins, elves, etc. I hate that, because without the help of a lot of half breeds,...

To start I would like to say that I am not posting this to be mean of start any fights. I'm posting this because a lot of people ask me why I don't like her of simply assume it's only because I like Bellatrix, and I want to clear this up. Plus I'd rather just post a link to this artikel rather than explain it every time someone asks.

Anyways, the first and biggest problem I have with Molly is (yes the obvious one lol, I'll get it out of the way first) that she killed Bellatrix. I do respect her motives, her kid's life was on the line. But I still don't like it. I also don't like how she called...

A handy-dandy Wikihow artikel on how to make a horcrux, for all u aspiring Dark witches and wizards out there!
Credit: wikihow.com

1. Become an extremely powerful witch of wizard. This will take years of study and sacrifice which lie beyond the scope of a WikiHow article. As a general guide u should not attempt to create a horcrux until u can cast non-verbal killing curses.

2. Locate an object of extreme significance to you. An emotional attachment to the object will aid the process and make it easier on your body and soul.

3. Bathe in the Water of Sorrows and eat 1 cup of paste made from...

What was Ron thinking when he received his prefect badge? What if Molly never showed up when Hermione was 'trying' to congratulate him?

It is from Ron's POV. Set is before 5th jaar when he received his prefect badge. Some actions will be similar to what JKR wrote but some will be different. What would've been Ron's reaction if Molly never showed up? End will be different from what JKR wrote.

For Jessica, who loves stories, for Anne, who loved them too, and for Di, who heard this one first.

Minerva McGonagall walked down the corridor with her head held high; she simply couldn't help but feel pleased with herself. And, who could, for that matter? She had finally done it, she was finally a teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The young Transfiguration teacher walked confidently into the great hall on her first dag of teaching, and she felt a small jolt of satisfaction as she passed door the Gryffindor tafel, tabel on her way to the staff table. It was not that she had ever disliked sharing meals with her fellow...

This artikel is reviewing his devotion as a Death Eater, his possible part in the Longbottom torture, his childhood, his father's love for him - and some other things - always basing on what we can read from the Goblet of brand book. Weighting on my own interpretation, of course.

I know the vast majority of people seem to have taken a liking of the first impression the book gives on the father-son relationship, especially door Junior's own words, so I respect that view - however those are only his beliefs and not necessarely the truth and I personally like to dig deeper into the possibilities....

WARNING Total spoilers for lastest film. DO NOT READ IF u HAVEN'T SEEN IT!!!

I just saw Half-Blood Prince and entertainment wise it's proberly the best so far - so go see it! It has one of the funniest HP scenes ever (Harry taking Felix potion).
BUT it was also the worst in terms of missing information and missing scenes. I'm holding out for DH though as i figured that they purposely missed out stuff in order to bulk up those two films. So here is my lijst of things that truly annoyed me about the film.

1. This one actually counts in at least the last 3 films. Dumbledore just isn't Dumbledore!...

door now everyone probably knows I have a crazy thing for Bellatrix and think she's the most wonderful thing that has happened to the HP series. But there are some huge differences between book Bella and movie Bella. But gosh dammit, I love them both! Here's why.

Book Bellatrix

Book Bella for me is everything I look for in a villainess. She's ruthless, she's wild, and she's got no mercy and no qualms about her bad deeds.While movie Bellatrix does share this trait I feel as though she has her moments of guilt. I say this because I really don't know how else to interpret this;

On the night that Sirius died, after the battle at the Ministry of Magic at the end of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore showed Harry, with the aid of his pensieve, the complete Lost Prophecy:

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh maand dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will...

The name of the straat where the Dursleys live is a reference to that most suburban plant, the liguster bush, which makes neat hedges around many English gardens. I liked the associations with both suburbia and enclosure, the Dursleys being so smugly middle class, and so determinedly separate from the wizarding world. The name of their area is 'Little Whinging', which again sounds appropriately parochial and sniffy, 'whinging' being a colloquial term for 'complaining of whining' in British English.

J.K Rowling:

Although I describe the Dursleys' house as big and square, as befitted Uncle Vernon's...

The last track of the CD ended. I sat straight up before I started to put away all my things as quick as I possibly could. I had been sitting there far too long. I had forgotten about the time and now I was late for dinner. I carefully closed the wardrobe before I rushed out of my room and down the stairs. Though midway down I stopped dead, and ran upwards again. I had to change clothes. Into my room again. Open the wardrobe and pull out a clean shirt, clean trousers and clean robes. I pulled off my old clothes and hurriedly put on the new ones. I pulled on my robes as I ran down the stairs...

The breakfast was over, so there were very few students in Great Hall.

Hugo Weasley was sitting on Gryffindor tafel, tabel with a book in his lap. AGAIN.

But he was not alone. Marcus Mills, a first-year Slytherin was also there with his two cronies.

"Look who is here! What are u doing here Weasley?," asked Mills in his normal taunting voice.

"Can't u see, I'm reading.," replied Hugo. BAD MOVE.

"Reading! On weekend! Lemme see what u are reading.," zei Mills snatching...
