“What did u just say?” Maki’s eyes flared at Akane. “I zei I’m not leaving.” Akane said, her hands clenching at her sides. Something about this girl was pushing her to the of her fury. “I’m sorry Akane, but Seiji’s here and I–” “What’s imporant about this girl Seiji? Why didn’t u tell me about her?”

“If Seiji doesn’t want to talk about me to u then it’s his decision not to!” A black haired pixie with pale red eyes and wearing a black dress that had long cuff-sleeves and a small oubollig, ouderwetse band on her head flew out from behind Maki.

Chapter 18: The Girl with White Hair Part II

“Mai,” Maki looked at the pixie. She nodded and a sudden bright light came from Maki and the pixie, Mai. “What?!” Laina cried. “Pixie Transformation?!” “What!” Akane’s eyes widened and the light blinded her that she had to cover her eyes with her arms.

“Pixie Transformation: Dark Maiden.” The light vanished slowly and Maki was not in her dance clothes anymore, but in the pixie’s black dress and shoes. To Akane’s utmost surprise, there were two black wings grown on Maki’s back. “Maki,” Seiji stepped in. “That’s enough of this stupidity. I know how u like to play around with girls around me, but this girl,” Seiji glanced at Akane behind him. “She’s not like them.” “Don’t tell me ...” Maki’s thin, perfect eyebrows furrowed. “You’re actually in love with this girl?” Akane’s lips inhaled a wild gasp and her yellow orbs amplified with shock. “Seiji!” Akane looked at Maki and her skin went ghostly-pale as her jaw gaped. Once, Maki was furious at Akane for not leaving, but now ... she was immensely crying.

“You promised you’d never fall in love with anyone! Why? Was I not good enough?!” Tears streamed down Maki’s cheeks as she hugged herself with her arms. Her pixie transformation disappeared in red sparkles as soon as she started crying. “Huh?” Akane blinked and turned to Seiji. “Wait a sec! u were this girl’s ... Maki’s ... girlfriend?!” Seiji sighed, closing his eyes. He nodded after a long moment. “It was a long time geleden – probably two years geleden – and since our break-up, she’s been trying to take me back.” He explained cautiously. “If u ever get even near Seiji, I. Will. Beat. The. Crap. Out. Of. You.” Maki gritted every word spitefully and Akane narrowed her eyes.

“You wouldn’t.” She crossed her arms. Maki’s eyes flashed. “You don’t know who you’re messing with Akane.” “Maki, stop it. Now.” Seiji zei firmly. For a moment, Maki stared at him and flinched when she saw something in his eyes. Then she huffed, looking down to the ground. “Fine, if u wish.” Seiji breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Akane who was still standing behind him, but seeming a bit relaxed. “You alright?” Seiji asked. Akane nodded, feeling numb. “I have ... to go.” She mumbled. “Let’s go, Laina. Asuka?” Akane beckoned to Asuka who was gazing intently at Seiji. She turned and followed Akane back to where Sakura and Emi were.

“Forget about her, Seiji.” Maki’s voice behind Seiji startled him as he was too caught up in his thoughts. “I will never forgive u for what u did, Maki.” “What did I do?” Seiji faced Maki, just in time to see her raise a hand up to his cheek. He smacked it away. “What did I do? 'What did I do' Maki? Are u hearing yourself clearly? u just hurt Akane and then u say ‘what did I do?’” “Maki.” Mei whispered to Maki before she made a mad outburst to Seiji. “Breathe.” Maki gulped, biting her lip. “You’re in love with her Seiji. I know u are. She just doesn’t know it yet.” Seiji didn’t say anything.

“Aruto,” Seiji called. “Yeah?” Aruto appeared. “Let’s go.” “Okay.” They both left Maki and Mei in silence as Seiji strolled out of the festival.


“We’re home!” Sakura cried, slightly exhausted. Sakura and Akane had just dropped off Emi at her house before coming home. Outside, the stars were already out in the dark, vast sky. No one replied as Sakura quickly ran up the stairs to her room to greet Ivory. Akane silently grabbed an appel, apple and walked up to her room. Asuka and Laina worriedly followed her.

Akane sighed at her bed, running a hand through her hair. “Akane, are u okay?” asked Laina. “You were quiet while we were in the festival after we came back from Maki and Seiji.” Akane pursed her lips. “I feel blank ... for some reason.” “Is it because ...” Asuka trailed off for a second, “of what Maki said? When she zei that Seiji ... was in love with you?” Akane shut her eyes. Several minuten passed. “Yeah Asuka.” Akane told her.

“Was it ... true, when she zei that?” Asuka inhaled slowly, “... Yes, Akane. I ... felt it. From him. It was real.”
