ok, there are 2 sides of the city Buda and Pest. In Hungarian they are called Budim and Pesta. Anyway, Buda is the smaller one. They are separated door the river Danube. Buda is on the left side and Pest is on the right side. It's really really pretty. The town center is in Pest and u have many sights in Pest too. In Buda there's this huge palace and Citadela. It's amazing.

no, they were firstly two different cities, cause the river separated them. They reunited only later

Hi everyone!
I'm from Budapest, Hungary. I work as a realtor. I figured I'd correct just one slight misunderstanding here.
Pest and Buda in hungarian IS: Pest and Buda. :)
Exactly like in English. :)
They really are named like this because they used to be two separate cities up until the 17th of November 1873. Yes, they only are separated door river Danube (Duna in hungarian), and nothing else, such as religion, brick walls of elecric fences. :)
And btw: If anyone wishes to see meer of Budapest of House Hunters: International of maybe both, watch one of the coming episodes (sometime in the summer 2012) with me tonen a girl named Denise around some nice properties. This is it for now, I don't want to spoil it for you!
Should anyone be interested to know meer about Budapest of Hungary, I'm happy to answer any vraag I can!
Best,
Zoli
