After three days in the hospital, House finally brought Cuddy and the new baby they named Ian home. Rachel was excited being a new sister. The first days and first nights were rough ones but as new parents, House and Cuddy tried to cool themselves down. There were still arguments that fly left and right but they tried to low down their voice and fight in their room so Rachel won’t hear it. The down days were always replaced with happy and precious ones. Cuddy would often found House carrying Ian and tucking Rachel to bed. Tonight, she found House in their son’s room, bottle feeding him. She stood on the doorway.
House: What are u doing there?
Cuddy: Treasuring a moment. <They bought smiled>
House: Go back to bed and stop standing up; u may rip out your stitches.
Cuddy: I’m okay. It’s healing now and I’m bored when I have nothing to do.
House: Just do it. <Cuddy walked slowly and sat down volgende to him> I told u ---
Cuddy: I want to see him <they bought look at the sleeping baby> It’s pretty amazing that we did that little creature…
House: I think I’ve heard that in one of my favoriete soaps. <House looked at her and smiled>
Cuddy: I mean it, Greg. <To the baby> Sleep tight baby boy and don’t be a jerk like your dad.
House: I’m not. <Cuddy looked at him> Okay, maybe I am but I won’t let my son get that peculiar way of mine <Cuddy smiled>.

Cuddy helped Ian, 5, and Rachel, 9, to get in the car. House was the one driving as his children bickered each other behind him. As they head back home, Cuddy found a paper in her son’s bag and as she read on, she was smiling. She turned to face Ian who was slapping Rachel.
Cuddy: Nice work you’ve got here, Ian.
Ian: <looking at Cuddy> It’s an activity. It’s called Ask Anything u Like. My classmates placed a lot of vragen there and I’ll end up answering them.
Cuddy: Uhm and one of your classmates here asked you, “Ian, how does it feel to have one of the best diagnosticians in the country as your dad?” What did u answered?
Ian: <with no emotion at all> It sucks
Cuddy paused for a moment before looking at House who just looked at Ian in the mirror and back to the road.
That evening, Cuddy entered their bedroom after tucking Ian and Rachel to bed. House was seated on one of the chairs in their room deck while drinking a glass of scotch. She sat volgende to him.
House: They’re asleep?
Cuddy: I think so. As long as Ian didn’t hide his PSP under the covers again. <They’re silent for a while> Are u okay?
House: <after taking a sip from the glass> Yah, maybe… --- I think it’s pay back time.
Cuddy: Pay back?
House: I hated my father before, now it’s time for my son to hate me.
Cuddy: Greg, let it go. Ian’s just ---
House: I feel like crap. <Sighed> I want to ask other docs about this. Do your children hate u too for being a doctor? Because my son do hate me.
Cuddy: Honey, <he sat closer and held his hand> Ian do not hate you. It’s just that he’s disappointed meer often. He told me you’ve been promising him that you’ll take him with u to a game of monster trucks event but he ended up watching none of those.
House: I did promised him but his dad’s a doctor. Sick people just pop in like a paddestoel from nowhere. --- I’m trying to be the best father I could be for him and Rachel, can’t he notice that?
Cuddy: Did u with your dad? <House looked at her; she smiled, kissed him and walked back inside to sleep>.
It was noon the volgende dag when House got a call from Cuddy. Ian was rushed in Princeton General after being stabbed with a mes on the abdomen door a frat addict college student. The suspect was then held door the cops who happened to be roaming in the village but Ian was facing a life threatening moment in the ICU. On the other hand, House and Wilson finally arrived and they found Cuddy crying in front of the glass room of Ian.
Cuddy: Greg <House hugged her as he looked at his unconscious son in the room>
House: How is he doing? <He moved back and faced the glass room>
Cuddy: They got him stable. His hart-, hart stopped for a minuut but they were able to restart it.
Wilson: Who’s the attending? <A man in white jas approached them>
Lawrence: Dr. House <House faced him> Paul Lawrence <they did shake hands>
House: So, how’s my kid?
Lawrence: I already ordered blood bags because he lost almost three ounce of it. That’s the first one that my nurses placed on. His hart-, hart stopped but we were able to restart it. hart-, hart rate and blood flow is stable. We already closed the wound where the mes landed on. I’m sorry to tell u that it ruptured his right kidney. He need ASAP a new one.
House: I’m moving my son to Princeton-Plainsboro.
Lawrence: Come with me and sign the form.
House: What are u doing there?
Cuddy: Treasuring a moment. <They bought smiled>
