So the pretence of this ff, is that House and Cuddy have had sex maand prior to everything I write regarding this specific fanfic :)
(Cuddy entered her office, and found House sitting behind her desk.)
Cuddy: What the hell are u doing here?
House: Your upset.
Cuddy: Like hell I’m upset. Can u get out of my office, please?
(Cuddy walked towards her lounge sofa whilst House got up from behind her desk)
House: Okay.
(House made his way to the doors.)
Cuddy: Wait.
(House let go of the doorknob, and turned and faced Cuddy. Her head in her hands, House was observing her every mood. Deducing that something terrible must have happened in order to break her down.)
Cuddy: We need to talk about, what we did.
House: Have sex.
Cuddy: u didn’t mention it to anyone did you?
House: Only five of my closest friends; they’re all gossips.
(Cuddy looked up at House.)
Cuddy: I’ve seen Wilson today, so I know u never told him anything.
House: So the sex didn’t make u cry-
Cuddy: I’m not crying.
House: But u have been. From the look of your eyes, you’ve been crying all morning and all afternoon. The loose curls and pale face tell me that what your upset about, has made u give up.
Cuddy: I’m all about the giving up. IVF was a waste of time, and-
(House looked at Cuddy as she tried to hide her tears.)
Cuddy: I had to give Rachel up. The grandparents challenged their decision to give me custody of her.
(House didn’t know how to react, how to comfort Cuddy in such a blow to her life.)
Cuddy: They picked her up this morning. All that’s left is her clothes and her toys.
House: I’m sorry. u shouldn’t blame yourself.
Cuddy: I don’t give a damn anymore. I don’t care.
House: Yes u do.
Cuddy: I really don’t. Rachel was the best thing to ever happen to me, and now she’s gone. I have nothing.
(House tried to hide his feelings of sadness.)
Cuddy: We couldn’t even-
(House sat volgende to Cuddy on the lounge sofa, with a centimetre of so difference between them.)
Cuddy: We’re two screwed up people.
House: u got that right.
(Cuddy smiled slightly, which House noticed and he two smiled.)
Cuddy: I don’t even know why I’m starting to cry right now.
House: Nothing’s ever simple; there is no definitive answer to everything.
(Cuddy wiped away a few stray tears, before House got up and left.)
--
(Wilson was in the hospital cafeteria, eating and reading some patient files.)
House: Cuddy’s pregnant.
(Wilson looked both ways.)
Wilson: What?
House: I saw her about an uur ago. She’s an emotional wreck.
Wilson: Well, they did kind of take her baby.
House: It wasn’t hers to begin with.
Wilson: Yes, but door law it was hers.
(House stal some of Wilson’s fries.)
Wilson: Wait a minute. Cuddy’s had sex?
House: That is how babies are made.
Wilson: I mean, who would she have had sex with?
(House looked away before Wilson caught on to the answer.)
Wilson: u had sex with Cuddy!
(House looked around in case anyone was listening.)
Wilson: When?
House: A maand give of take a few days. I swore I wouldn’t tell you-so act surprised when she comes running to u for advice.
(House grabbed some meer fries, whilst Wilson looked puzzlingly into the distance.)
--
(Cuddy was in Wilson’s office, waiting for him.)
Wilson: Hey. What are u doing here?
Cuddy: Close the door.
(Wilson closed the door shut and locked it, before sitting behind his desk.)
Wilson: What’s going on?
(Cuddy looked down before leaning in towards Wilson.)
Cuddy: I’m pregnant, and it’s House’s.
(Wilson acted surprised.)
Wilson: How far gone are you?
Cuddy: 7 weeks.
Wilson: This is great news, isn’t it?
(Cuddy had a sense of anguish appear on her face.)
Cuddy: I want to keep it, but I don’t want to tell House.
(Wilson looked bemused door this revelation.)
Wilson: It’s going to be difficult hiding a pregnancy from an observational whack job; but it’s your decision.
Cuddy: I know how he’ll handle it. Probably won’t even acknowledge the fact that it’s his.
Wilson: Maybe he will, u have no proof that House will disown the kid.
(Cuddy looked worryingly at Wilson.)
Cuddy: Promise me u won’t tell him. Please, u can’t say a word.
(Wilson nodded his head, and as Cuddy left he looked disconcertingly out of the window.)
--
(House was in his office, reading a magazine when Wilson walked in reluctantly.)
Wilson: u were right.
(Wilson sat down opposite House.)
House: And?
Wilson: She’s going to keep the baby.
House: She’s already lost one door default; she’s not going to kill her biological one.
Wilson: Cuddy doesn’t want u to know it’s yours.
(House paused for a moment.)
House: Then why are u telling me?
Wilson: So u can change her mind! Prove to her that you’re not incapable of love.
House: I had sex with her, that’s proof enough.
Wilson: Maybe to you.
House: So what do u want me to do? Confront her? Tell her that I will love this kid unconditionally?
Wilson: Get her to involve u in the baby’s life.
(House sat back in his chair and thought for a moment.)
House: No.
Wilson: What? You’re actually going to detach yourself from your own child?
House: It’s what Cuddy wants.
Wilson: She’s emotional and hormonal. She doesn’t know what she wants.
House: I know when to blame it on hormones. What she told u was the truth.
(Wilson could see House was upset about it but wouldn’t dare toon it.)
Wilson: So what are u going to do?
(House met Wilson’s eyes.)
House: Nothing.
--
(House came out of the elevator, and collected some notes from the reception. He looked into the clinic and could see Cuddy standing there. He wanted to go over and look after her-but he stopped himself. Instead, he walked off unbeknownst to him Cuddy watched him walk away with a feeling of regret on her face.)
