It was late in the afternoon when Cuddy decided to help House settled back in his room. Dr. Pitt allowed her to do so since he knows House wouldn’t do anything to scare her away. House turned to looked at Cuddy who stopped and stood just a few steps from the sliding door. He placed his cane on the bottom headboard of his bed before removing his jas and lying it down on the mattress behind him.
Cuddy: <sighed> You’re really giving up on this?
House: Do you?
Cuddy: If I say no would that give u the strength of pushing some more?
House looked away from Cuddy gazed and he took a deep breathe.
House: If you’re my doctor, what would u order me to do?
Cuddy: You’re betting your life in my hands?
House: <whispered so Cuddy won’t hear> Always has…
Cuddy: What?
House: <Looked at Cuddy as he slowly sat down on the edge of his bed> Do what u think is right for me…
She stopped since she doesn’t want him to change his mind about his decision. She knew what he wanted and that will she will do, so she went out his room, sliding the door slowly behind her. In House’s world, Amber appeared to be leaning on the post in front of him.
Amber: Lose your nerve again?
House looked at her then he looked down on the tiled flooring.
Amber: House…
House met her sincere stare.
Amber: One dag u have to tell Cuddy about the story u made up, why u don’t want her here and who she is in your life.
House sighed because he knows, deep down, he agrees with what Amber had told him. But he’s scared.

Cuddy sat down on the chair volgende to Wilson as soon as she entered Dr. Pitt’s office. House’s doctor was seated on his chair as both of them shared an afternoon tea.
Dr. Pitt: What’d he say?
Cuddy: He wanted… a medically… induce coma…
Wilson’s eyes grew wider in disbelief.
Wilson: What?! He must be --- <stammering>
Dr. Pitt looked at Wilson that made him stop blurting out his double doubts. He looked back at Cuddy again after sipping from his cup.
Dr. Pitt: u think it’s a good call?
Cuddy looked at Wilson before answering.
Cuddy: <sighed> Yes…

House was lying on his hospital bed that evening. He was feeling tired and sleepy but he’s fighting it. Cuddy was standing beside him, Wilson was there leaning on the bottom headboard and Pitt was there at his left with the syringe filled will the medicine that will drift him to his requested coma. Amber was there but only in House’s mind and she was leaning against the uithangbord in front of him. Cuddy looked at his doctor and Pitt nodded back before he pushed the plunger down to House’s IV tube.
Dr. Pitt: He’ll be out in a minute…
Cuddy: Thank you…
Pitt smiled back and moved to sat down away from the two. House looked at Cuddy and she was lost in his deep blue eyes. She grabbed House’s right hand and tried to hide her loneliness door smiling back at him. Wilson was surprised to see House holding back at Cuddy’s and it was tight.
Cuddy: You’ll be fine…
Amber: You’ll be fine he you’ll tell her now…
House swallowed and tried to speak up. His voice was shallow and heavy but with deep sincerity. The tone u won’t hear him say.
House: Thank you…
Cuddy placed her left hand on his hair and started caressing it.
Cuddy: Oh shhh, just rest…
House slowly closed his eyes before Pitt declared he’s officially out for a while. In his world, Amber was the first one who disappeared, then Pitt, Wilson and his love. Cuddy was holding her tears as much as she could as she turned to face Wilson and let go of grasp on House’s hair and hand.
Wilson: <To Cuddy> He trusted you…
Pitt: No, that’s meer than trust…
Pitt smiled a knowing smile and Cuddy say no words.
