"Cuddy?, Are u okay?," Wilson zei as he stood in front of at Cuddy's office door.
"Oh, sorry Wilson I must of fallen asleep for a moment...what do u need?"
Looking behind him nervously, he locked the door and closed the blinds.
"Wilson?"
"I need to warn u of something."
"What is House planning now," she zei as she started glancing over a file.
"That's the thing, I don't know. But I know him well enough to realize when he has something going on. He has that certain smile on his face he only gets for two reasons: he's played a practical joke on me of he's about to mess with you."
"You think it's the latter?"
"He's never going to admit this to you, but I know he is jealous of your new relationship with the P.I."
"I know he is," she zei with a sigh.
"You seem tired. Didn't get much sleep?"
"No...not much sleep."
"Look, I try at all costs to stay out of the love lives of my friends..."
"Yeah, I'm sure," she zei with a laugh.
"What does that mean?"
"Well, u were very encouraging when Cameron liked him. u kept trying to get him to admit she had a good affect on him. u even helped him plan the date."
"I just didn't want him to pass up an opportunity."
"House, always passes on opportunities to connect to other human beings it's his major flaw. I mean a gitaar means meer to him than a flesh and blood, human relationship..."
"Wow. You're really mad at him."
"I'm always mad at him."
"Yeah, because he did a deadly procedure, mouthed off to a sponsor, of kidnapped a patient, but not for personal reasons. u usually defend him meer than even me."
"Maybe I'm tired of defending him. Look, I like Paul. There is potential for something real between us. I hope he's not planning on crashing one of our dates. He's done that before u know."
"I didn't know he did that."
"I'm surprised he didn't tell you. I thought it would be something he'd revel in."
"Wow."
"What?"
"He really, really, likes you," he zei with a bright smile. "He would never do something like that unless he really wanted you."
"No, he doesn't want me. If he wanted me as much as u say then he would have admitted to it door now. He would have done whatever it took to get me. I've only seen Stacy Warner mean that much to him," she zei with a noticeable break in her voice.
Wilson put a hand over Cuddy's. Her eyes looked into his. Her cheeks suddenly reddened door embarassment.
"I don't care. He's House. He's my oldest friend and sometimes enemy, mostly liability," she zei with a laugh.
"Maybe what he's planning is to do whatever it takes,"Wilson zei with another hopeful smile.
"I don't like him if that's what you're implying, Wilson," she zei nervously.
"Okay. But if u did it would be a good thing for both of you. I always thought there was something special between u two and maybe, just maybe, if u two got over all this denial crap u could see it too."
Wilson was heading toward the door when Cuddy spoke.
"He knows how I feel."
Wilson turned to face her once more.
"You told him u like him?"
"He asked me what we were to each other and I told him he knows already. He shouldn't play stupid."
"What did he do?"
"He walked out of my office. He hasn't zei a word about the conversation since."
"He's processing. Give him time."
"Paul believes in people and House only seems to believe in himself. I...care deeply for House but I need to be with someone who can tell me what I mean to them. He's never been able to do that. With Paul everything feels so possible and so easy..."
"Easy, definitely isn't House. However, easy can become boring down the road," he zei as he exited the office.
Cuddy sighed as she turned to face the window. It was an bewolking, bewolkt afternoon. She hadn't meant to get into that conversation with Wilson. Why did he always have to meddle. She had such a great time last night with Paul. She had for once saw a possibility of leaving her feelings for House behind.
"Knock, knock," a familar scruff voice zei behind her taking her out of her reverie.
"Oh, House. What do u want?," she zei a little too loudly.
House closed the office door and sat at the chair in front of her desk.
He looked everywhere but at her. His hands tightening around the hook of his cane.
"House?"
"I want to take u out for dinner," he zei finally looking up to meet her eyes.
