huh? So your laptop is broken (please specify)and u think if u download itunes to another computer ur songs will still be there? Doubt it...unleass, do u have an iPod with your songs on it? If so just sync it to another computer. If not....hmm, is your hard drive still intact? If so, u can take it out and back it up onto another computer, assuming that the data isnt corrupt...if all else fails, ask a professional, cause this is fanpop.com, not apple.com

First of all, I have removed my vorige answer to this vraag because I realised it wasn’t complete & might result in u losing your data altogether. I hope u haven’t seen my vorige answer & acted on it. If u have, I can only say I’m very sorry & I didn’t mean to mislead you: I had honestly thought my info was correct at the time I geplaatst it. Since then, I realised my vorige answer only applied to items purchased from iTunes & I wanted to find out if it applies to everything else: I experimented & found out.
I only have MAC computers & I don’t know if this applies to of will work for PCs. u can only recover items u purchased off iTunes. When syncing, iTunes tells u there are purchased items on your iPod that are not in your bibliotheek & asks if u want to transfer them to your library, warning u if u don’t u will lose them. When u click OK your iPod will start syncing & the purchased items will appear in the “Purchased” playlist. All other items that are not in your iTunes bibliotheek will be lost.
If u have the CDs u can add them back in to your library. It’ll be time consuming but, u can keep-up-to-date with your iTunes library. Otherwise, u can prevent your iPod from syncing door checking the “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically” box in the “Devices” section of “iTunes Preferences”. u can still keep everything on your iPod while u charge-up but, u won’t be able to sync with your library.
