“Chauffeur” his parents finished it off for him and I noticed a slight panic but I kept my mouth shut. I don’t know why but I felt an urge to know meer about him.
“Chauffeur? How old is he?”
“22”I heard Nick reply and afterwards broke out into a violent cough.
“Sweetie, I think u should rest for a while and stop talking” zei his mom. And both of them rushed over to his side. I couldn’t believe this was the person they wanted me to marry.
I looked over again at the door to see if there was anyway I could get out of here but the way the bodyguard guarded the door I guess no one would be coming out. I got up pretending to be looking around the room and then quickly slipped in the bathroom. I tried to close the door but it didn’t budge and I looked up to see Selena’s hand stopping the door.
“Demi, don’t do this”
“I’m not doing anything, so can u please excuse your hand from the door”
I tried to force the door close but it still didn’t budge. Selena was always stronger than me so there was no way I would be able to close the door if she didn’t let go.
“Promise?”
“Promise” I zei tiredly.
“Just incase u try”
She pushed passed me and went over to the door that was suppose to be adjoining to the volgende room and locked it with a key.
“It’s for your own good”
She then walked back in to the room and sat down at the same place she did earlier. She sounded a lot like my mom when she zei that. I closed the door and went over to the door adjoining the both rooms. I tried to open but I guess Selena really did lock it. I don’t know really how this works but it works in films so it is worth a shot. I took out my hair pin out of my hair and tried fiddling it in the lock. “Click” I bent down and carefully opened the door so that it wouldn’t make any sound. I felt bad about breaking my promise to Selena but she didn’t know what position I was in. It hurt so much to see the one u love die and then three years later, your force to marry someone else u didn’t love, like nothing happened. I managed to get to the other room which was cream in colour and sparsely decorated. I felt relieved to know that no one was in there and I started making my way over to the door. But lucky me this wasn’t going to be as easy as I thought. I heard the shuffling of feet from outside. I quickly hid underneath the bed which I may say was quite dusty. My hart-, hart skipped a beat as I heard voices talking but it wasn’t them who I thought it was but someone else. I managed to only get pieces of their conversation which didn’t really make a lot of sense to me.
“Poor fellow”
“Yeah I mean internal bleeding, broken bones and we, the doctors, don’t even know if he will be able to walk again”
“It would be a miracle if he would be get out here before a month”
“He needs his rest; let’s go”
As soon as they left I came up from out of the bed and carefully stood up. I didn’t bother to look on the patient because I knew if I did my hart-, hart would hurt so much than it did now after hearing the condition he was in. I started walking to the door and just about as my hand was about to touch the knob I heard something.
