Chapter 5
The volgende morning, I have breakfast with my brother, and then see him off when the shuttle comes to pick him up. After he leaves, I crawl back into bed and fall asleep.
Around 10 a.m., I wake up to the sound of my phone beeping. I’m inclined to just lie in bed and ignore it but decide to pick it up off the nightstand. It’s a text message—from Nick. It says, “Just caught the plane to LA.Will see u soon.” I check to see when the message was sent and the phone says that it was sent to me at 6:30 am. I text him back to see what time he’s coming.
