HAYLEY'S POV:
Nothing was meer hurtful than not seeing Josh wait for me like he used to at the school parking lot. His smile had always greeted me and made the beginning of my dag as good as it could have been...but now, I didn't get that. The absence of him was impossible mistake...now I was truly alone.

As I went toward locker 113, I placed my hand against the little 'hi' written on there. My grip on my boeken absently tightened and I knew I could not help but let the memory burn itself deep into my head and replay.

"I see u have my locker. Well, my locker from last year. Who would have...

HAYLEY'S POV:
Outside of school, the seconde week of December, on a chilly Monday morning, Josh and I stood on the school track, our fingers intertwined. He bent over down at my level to kiss me in the most gentle, innocent way possible, his head tilted in a slight angle. Little did I know other eyes were watching.

JAELYN'S POV:
When I saw that...my hart-, hart sank to the very bottom of my body. I don't know exactly why, I thought I was way over him, way over whatever Josh and I were before, but once I saw him kiss Hayley Williams...I nearly died. No, there's no overdramaticness here, I was very close...

there's lots of stuff going on in this chapter, days pass door quickly and all that. it was just to make things go door faster. =]
HAYLEY'S POV:
I spent the remainder of my Satuday night with Josh at his house. My mom didn't mind, and his parents weren't going to be home pagina that day. They were busy, like mine, and Josh's mom was out of town for the weekend. My dad wasn't coming back either, he was probably out of town without telling us. Come to think of it, he never does. Josh's mom would come home pagina early morning, and he told me to meet her right then. He didn't want any gaps between my parents and...

JOSH'S POV:
I stared at the ceiling the entire time once I got home. Zac made his way up to my room, sitting down on the floor. "Oh no!" He yelled sarcastically, "Something's wrong." I looked back with an angry expression. "But seriously this time, what happened?" He asked.
"Well if u must know," I began, "I think Hayley is mad at me."
"The girlfriend?" He asked. I frowned. "Not exactly."
"Dude, what do u mean not exactly? u haven't asked her out yet?" He seemed to be genuinely concerned, which surprised me.
"What's the big deal about it?" I replied.
"Uh...the big deal is she's totally into...

HAYLEY'S POV:
It was a friday afternoon and Josh and I would make our usual trip to his house. I waited downstairs and played with Zac's drums for a while. We did homework together and didn't get much songwriting in. Zac wrote his own drum part, and I think he had meer ideas in his head. There was a lot to work with, and the possibilities were endless. I went home pagina around six, in time for dinner. Dad wasn't home. The phone rang while mom and I were eating her homemade fried chicken. She let it take message, and a woman's voice played. "Hey Ms. Williams. Melinda just called. She zei she can't...

HAYLEY'S POV:
So u might think that after all that happened he would have asked me out already and gotten it all over with. We could have been meer than vrienden door now. The ice between us was broken, the feelings revealed. But guess what? He didn't ask. Yet.

Josh and I looked through the stuff in my room. With him around, my room seemed much meer interesting. We looked through foto albums and journals, now I was unafraid to toon him everything. Things he's never seen that I owned.

He joined me on the bed as we laid on our stomachs and scanned my childhood foto album. "Your hair is so messed...

The volgende dag came door just as every other, and the same old school routine was in effect. Not only was it boring, but to Hayley, the only time school was good was when it was lunch, and when she walked home pagina with Josh. The two talked meer and the school was in a buzz. Today was also the dag she would have to convince her parents to let her go to Josh's.

Once she got home, only her mom was home, making something foreign on the stove. It smelled strange and Hayley realized it was probably another experiment. She came up slowly in the keuken-, keuken and sat on the high chair door the keuken-, keuken counter. "Uh..watcha...

HAYLEY'S POV:
School finally ended. I needed an answer from Josh before I am even caught dead at that party. I would definitely not go alone. Jaelyn seems very nice right now. It's a shame Josh won't give her a chance, but first off I need to find out what he was hiding from me. Could it be that bad?

I approached him steadily when we got out of school. We were supposed to walk together, as always. "Okay, Josh. Confess," I zei too quickly. I hoped he didn't feel pressured in any way.
"We need to get out of here first. Starbucks,...

HAYLEY'S POV:
I took a deep breath and stared right into his scared face, boring my eyes into his. He was expecting me to yell, of course, I could tell door the nervous way he curled and uncurled his fingers and trembled slightly. Instead, I smiled.

"Josh..." I began, "I'm glad u told me the truth, but u don't have to go on lying to me just to...you know, hang out and all that. u could have just asked."

"I know, but come on, that's what every other guy would do. It's so damn typical."

"Yeah, and it's so damn easy and normal," I told him, laughing. "And anyways, I would have liked the easy approach...

Hayley and Josh stared blankly towards Jaelyn. She smiled quickly as she looked at who just came in. Josh hastily walked towards the secretary before Jaelyn could open her mouth.
"I have doctor's notes!" he said, out of breath.
Jaelyn eyed him, completely on-edge. "What?!" she almost screamed. "Hayley and I had the same doctor's appointment. u see...our...our parents are..." he panicked.
"Our parents are friends!" Hayley said, chiming in. "Yeah. We are totally friends. I mean Mr. Farro said...they have...um..."
"A really great doctor," Josh said, completing that sentence.
"Yeah! I mean...the...

Each house they passed made Hayley meer comfortable sitting beside Josh at the front of the car. Everyone asked her who she was, and she even created new vrienden during the car ride.

HAYLEY'S POV:

Stay steady, Hayley. I was shaking. When Jaelyn, Madison and Alexa (all coming out of the same house...er, are these three sisters of something?!) stepped into the car, I rolled my eyes quickly, and stared out the window. They didn't glare of look at me, but started talking to Josh flirtatiously. I never came up in the conversation. They took up the back seat, and apparently another car was tailing...

Saturday was the dag that finally came, and when Hayley awoke to the sound of her own alarm clock, she had no idea what to wear of what to think. All she heard was the loud buzz of the annoying alarm clock, distracting her from her real goal: getting dressed and getting out of here. It was 9 AM.This whole outing was supposed to be an all- type of thing. It wasn't just a "meet us here and let's hang out" outing, it was a "let's go to breakfast, lunch and dinner, while hanging out at various spots" type of gathering. All dag with Josh. He had emailed her about it already, and she had all the...

When the final klok, bell rung, Hayley went towards her locker. She caught a glimpse of Josh and he was heading right where she was heading. Of course, because their lockers were near each other. She couldn't feel her legs.

Hayley's P.O.V:
He smelled really good. And he was incredibly cute. Oh, the high school feelings u get when u are close to a guy. How could I dare like him though? He is so out of my league. Many others already like him, I know this for a fact. I've heard so many whispers, all around the school, saying how incredibly cute he was, how he was handsome, the basic things you'd hear...
