Arador I have now watched this trailer about 10 times and each production video at least twice, as well as memorising each Dwarf's face to their names. Any other book being made into a film I would be nervous that they would mess it up as has been done so many times, but I trust Peter Jackson to make this a masterpiece, and I can't wait to see it. I strongly agree with the decision to make The Hobbit into two films - it allows for much more depth to the story, and less will have to be edited out. I also hope Peter Jackson will be making extended versions as he did with LOTR - so that the real fans will have a full and complete story with no gaps or parts left out. I am also happy with the decision to include some parts of the film which don't occur in the book, and the events happening in the wider world such as the White Council driving Sauron out of Mirkwood. Normally I would be against additions being made, but as this does occur and is just not mentioned, I think it will definitely contribute to the story and help it to make more sense (explaining where Gandalf went when he left the Dwarves), as long as it doesn't compromise the main storyline. Obviously from PJ's point of view, The Hobbit is the last film being made about Middle Earth and so is the last chance to round off any loose ends and add in any extra knowledge of Middle Earth. I'm sure Peter will do this well - we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. The trailer certainly looks promising.
