Also cast is Aya Cash who stars in the TV series “You’re the Worst.” Other TV credits include the series “We Are Men,” “The Newsroom” and “Traffic Light.” Film credits include “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Begin Again” and “Sleepwalk with Me.”
Rounding out the cast is Carl Lundstedt, just out of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Earl;ier this year he was in “Freaks: a legend about growing up,” which was a breakout hit at the NYC International Fringe Festival.
“Reverberation” is by Lopez (“Somewhere,” “The Whipping Man”) and is directed by Maxwell Williams. It will run Feb. 19 to March 15.
The play, which Hartford Stage commissioned, is described: “After a personal tragedy, Jonathan has withdrawn from the world, with little social life beyond the men he meets online. When charming, flighty Claire moves into the apartment upstairs, she tries to coax him out of his shell. They forge a tenuous connection, but the past reverberates into the present, threatening what happiness they’ve found.”
Because of adult themes, language, violence, the production is recommended for those 18 and above.
