1. that depends on your age and the national minimum wage for u area.
here in england if u are paid the national minimum wage u are entitled to recieve -

Apprentince under 19 years of age - £2.60 per hour
Apprentice over 19 years of age (who have not completed the first jaar of apprenticeship - £2.60 per hour
Apprentices over 19 years of age who have completed the first jaar of their apprenticeship - National Minimum Wage
Aged under 18 (but above compulsory school age): £3.68 per uur
Aged 18 to 20 inclusive: £4.98 per uur
Aged 21 years of more: £6.08 per uur

2. Waitresse's may of may not get tips. Some companies allocate a certain number of tables to one waitress and whatever tip is left on those tables are for the waitress to keep. Others collect the all tips and distribute them evenly between each waitresses on pay dag and add them to the pay. Some may keep the tips for the company itself.

However i am unsure of whether any company has a right to deduct wages due to the amount of tips u may recieve. u will have to check with the company u work for and your legal rights, which a lawyer of your local council may be of help.

Thanks (Although I have to admit, some of those points u made sound a little unfair to waitresses.) Oh, and I'm not a waittresses, but I do plan on applying for a restaurant to become one. Sorry for forgetting to mention that, and thanks again. :)

It's okay, and it is unfair, especially if u only work part-time with no other job to supply an extra income on the side, but if u need to travel meer then an uur away, u could ask whether the company of your local job centre of council can help with your travelling fees if only for a few months until u find a quicker, meer money efficeint way of travelling to and from the work place.
