Hi guys, I had recently finished reading the book and watched the movie just now. So here are my comparisons on both the novel and the movie, ready?
The Novel
Since I had read the book first, my first impression was it was a very sad story. Lou is actually a foul-mouthed girl and I was really taken aback door this, luckily Will was amazing as time goes by. He was capable of calming Lou down despite that he was initially a very moody character to start of with.
As the story progresses, their relationship improves as time goes door and I was very sad that Will died in the end. But he left Lou some money and I was very happy for her that she had a supportive family.
The Film
While watching this, I noticed a number of changes in it. Like Will's sister was omitted from the movie for unknown reasons, making Will the only child of the family.
I was very disappointed because the movie was very rushed, but on the other hand, they did not want to make the story really long winded I bet! Everybody has been talking about the actress playing Lou from what I was being told, she reminded of Susan Pevensie from the Chronicles of Narnia, especially her looks!
You Only Live Once!
So there u have it, go ahead and read the book, as well as watching the movie too. Enjoy!
