I love Mello for many reasons. While his brashness and potential recklessness may rub you off the wrong way, that's not all there is to him. Mello is insightful, well-spoken, and knowledgeable. He's misunderstood, and he's alone. He was an incredibly well-written character, and his life and all that he endured really impacted me, emotionally. He is my favorite anime/manga character, of all time. <3
