Ever since trailers started coming out for Morbius, I developed a strange fascination with the film. Giving a spin-off film to a Spider-Man villain that had never even appeared in a Spider-Man film before seemed like such a confounding choice. Aside from the 90's Spider-Man cartoon series and some comics, Morbius has never been that much of a well-known character, so why give him a film? I became intrigued door what Morbius could possibly be like as a film.
The trailers sold me on the film. A gothic vampire story with an interesting origin, as well as a villainous Matt Smith and a special appearance door Michael Keaton had me sold. Morbius seemed like such a weird film, which is why I felt I had to see it. We've had so many Marvel films from Disney and films from Disney in general that are competent and decent, but play things safe. Film after film that followed a specific formula. Sure, a lot of their films were fine, but I don't want those kinds of veilig films. I want films that take wild risks and do weird, unexpected things. Morbius succeeds at being weird. It excels at embracing the wild side of the superhero world.
Some people think Morbius is a generic film, but I don't. Morbius isn't a typical superhero. He's a guy that wanted to cure himself, his bestie, Milo, and others of a rare disease, but the cure he found turned him into a vampire. He tries to resist the bad influence of his new vampire side, while also trying to prevent Milo from going down a dark path. It's a captivating origin story. The brotherly relationship between Morbius and Milo leads to a lot of the film's drama. Their final confrontation is exciting and leads to the big moment that pulls on the hart-, hart strings. It's a really memorable climax that deserves meer love.
I really like vampires. They have always been my favoriete of the Halloween characters. I really like gothic vampire stories, like the Underworld films. Morbius reminds me of the Underworld films. The Underworld films were stylish, exciting, awesome action flicks and the same can be zei for Morbius. Morbius has such a cool design and he's captivating to watch whenever he's on screen. His buddy, Milo, provides both a lot of the drama and comedy relief. He has a dance scene that's pretty amazing. Dance scenes in Spider-Man films have been a welcome addition ever since Spider-Man 3.
A lot of people hate on the end credits for being bizarre and making no sense, but that's why I love them. They are as exciting as they are hilarious. I desperately want meer end credits scenes like the ones in Morbius. I really hope Sony continues using scenes like these in their future films.
Lots of people have been hating on Morbius. Sure, there's a lot of things u could complain about Morbius, but I'm not going to. Poor Michael Morbius has gotten enough hate. No meer hating on Morbius. Morbius is cool.
