If u look up Morbius, there's a good chance that you'll see people joking about it. Lots of people like to give the film a lot of hate, while other people give the film ironic praise. Finding people who genuinely like Morbius is hard, but I happen to be someone that actually likes the film. In fact, I liked the film a lot.

For those that don't know, Morbius is a Marvel comics character that was one of Spider-Man's enemies. Dr. Michael Morbius was a brilliant doctor who was suffering from a rare condition. He went above and beyond to find a cure. The cure ended up turning him into a vampire. Although Morbius started off as a villain, he went on to become an anti-hero. He did have a recurring role in the 1990's Spider-Man cartoon series, but he was never one of Spider-Man's most beloved villains. Despite that, Sony decided to give him his own film.

Giving an obscure villain his own film might sound like a bad film. I'll admit that when the film was first announced, I poked a lot of fun in it. I was baffled and curious about why Sony would give Morbius a film. However, as the advertising came out, my interest in the film kept growing and growing. Morbius seemed like such a charmingly unusual film that I had to see what it was like. It seemed gothic, mysterious and unique.

After having seen the film, I ended up becoming a bigger fan of the Morbius character than I ever previously was. Morbius is darker than your average Marvel film. I'm someone that likes playful, fun superhero films, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy some darker superhero films. Morbius happens to be one of those films. In addition to being a superhero fan, I'm also a vampire fan, so this film grabbed my interest.

In the film, Morbius is not presented as a traditional superhero. He does have good intentions, because he wants to cure himself and others. However, after becoming a vampire, he struggles to contain his vampire urges. To make things meer complicated, a friend of Morbius wants the cure. Milo, the best friend of Morbius, suffers from the same condition, so he is interested in getting his hands on the cure that turned Morbius into a vampire. The complicated friendship between Morbius and Milo brings about the film's most emotional scenes.

Morbius got some complaints for not being rated R. People thought that u can't make a good Morbius film if u can't have lots of blood and gore. I love vampires, but I don't love blood and gore, so I appreciate the fact that Morbius is rated PG-13. The film does have some intense scenes, but it carefully avoids going into R-rated territory.

If u see the film, make sure that u stay through the credits, because there are two special scenes that are incredibly memorable and entertaining.

I understand that Morbius isn't a film for everybody. However, I believe it deserves better. I can't pretend that it's a perfect film, but it's a unique, exciting and captivating film that I had a ton of fun with. As time goes on, I hope that Morbius becomes a cult classic.
