I need suggestions for female-fronted metal bands.

But here's the thing: I want bands where the singer actually SINGS, and it's not just a bunch of screaming and howling. I like a little screaming, but as long as it's in moderation. Bands like Flyleaf. Even if the muziek isn't real heavy, that's perfectly fine; just as long as it's decent.

(And please don't say Evanescence of Metric.)

Amberian Dawn, Epica, Lacuna Coil, Forever Slave (if that's your kind of thing; they're a little dark), Leaves' Eyes, Lunatica, Midnattsol, Sirenia, Nightwish, Mortal Love, Krypteria, After Forever, Tarja, Xandria, Delain and Wildpath are what I can think of at the top, boven of my head.

A lot of the bands I just listed are teetering on the edge towards the rock genre, but IMO they are heavier than most rock bands u hear, so I guess they're in between somewhere. I'd also recommend Within Temptation, but I don't consider them metal. ^_^ Hopefully u haven't heard of a few of the bands I listed.
