I've decided to make a lijst of my favoriete rock bands, past and present. If u don't like any of these bands, please be respectful. Anyway, here it goes. Before I begin my list, here are a few honorable mentions:

#20. REO Speedwagon
This Illinois rock band doesn't make my lijst for nothing. With hits like "Take It On the Run," and "I Can't Fight This Feeling," it's easy to love this 80's band.

#19. Stone Sour
How could one of the greatest modern rock bands not make this list? Corey Taylor is one of the best vocalists in rock muziek in my opinion. These Iowa rockers are one of the few good modern rock bands.

#18. Oasis
Of course, I had to include a British band in this list. Prepare yourselves; there's going to be more. Anyway, they're definitely among the best British bands of all time. Their sound is amazing, which is why I included them in this list.

#17. Def Leppard
I told u there would be meer British bands, and I didn't lie. Def Leppard is among my favoriete classic rock bands. Their sound is amazing. Get this; their trommelaar, drummer only has one arm! How cool is that?!

#16. Lynyrd Skynyrd
Being that I'm from the South, I had to include at least one Southern Rock band. Most people associate them with the song, "Sweet home pagina Alabama," but that's not their only song, u know. It's not even their best song. It's a good song, but "Free Bird" is their best song in my opinion.

#15. Weezer
I don't always admit it, but I really love Weezer. These guys really know how to get their geek on, and I'm a bit of a geek myself. Rivers Cuomo is actually a good vocalist. He may not be the best, but he's still good.

#14. The Rolling Stones
How could one of the greatest rock bands not make my list? They have a great sound to them, and they have great songs, too. Despite what the Maroon 5 song suggests, nobody has the moves like Jagger.

#13. Green Day
Green dag is definitely one of the best alternative rock bands. I prefer their older stuff, though. Their new songs are terrible. Let's not talk about their new songs. Let's talk about their old songs, the good ones. "Redundant," "Longview," "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," and "Basket Case" are easily my favorites. Those songs are the good Green dag songs.

#12. Fleetwood Mac
How could the best Southern Rock band not make this list? Fleetwood Mac has a very amazing sound. Their songs are beautiful. Word of advice, I've noticed that many people buy Fleetwood Mac: Greatest Hits. If u want their greatest hits, just buy Rumours. Most of their hits come from this album, and it'll save u money.

#11. Queen
How could the band with one of the greatest vocalists not make this list? Freddie Mercury was an awesome vocalist. "Bohemian Rhapsody" really shows off his theatrical vocals. Raise your hands if u attempted to sing this song. *raises hand* Raise your hand if u failed. *raises hand* I did okay until that insanely high note. Good night, that high note!


#10. Foo Fighters
How could I not include this awesome band? From "Monkey Wrench" to "Something From Nothing," there's just something special about them. Dave Grohl is an awesome vocalist. Not only that, he seems like such a nice guy. His constant smiling is contagious. No wonder he's considered the "nicest guy in rock."

#9. R.E.M.
I really miss these Georgia rockers. I was sad that they called it quits. I guess all good things come to an end. Their muziek is so awesome. In fact, "Everybody Hurts" is my sad song. They really rocked.

#8. Stone Temple Pilots
This 90's grunge band is not on my lijst just to fill a gap. They have an awesome sound to them. I get really excited when I hear one of their songs on the satellite radio station, Lithium. That's where I first discovered them.

#7. The Cranberries
This Irish band is just amazing. Dolores O'Riordan is a very unique vocalist. When most Irish people sing, the lose the accent. She doesn't lose her thick Irish accent when she sings. This is why she is one of my favoriete female vocalists. However, that's for another list.

#6. System of a Down
Although I'm not much of a metal head, I can't help but love this Armenian-American band. Daron Malakian is an awesome guitarist. He also has awesome hair. I also like Serj Tankian's unique vocals. This is why they make my list.

#5. Skillet
Skillet is definitely an awesome band. What I like about them is their deep meanings to their songs. I also admire the fact that they don't rely on explicit lyrics to get their fans' attention. I'm not saying explicit lyrics are morally wrong of anything like that. Also, how could one compete with John Cooper's gravelly vocals?

#4. Led Zeppelin
I bet u thought I was done with the British bands; did u not? Well, fasten your zitplaats, stoel belts. There's one meer after this one. Anyway, Led Zeppelin doesn't make my lijst just to fill in a gap. What do u get when u have Robert Plant's amazing vocals, Jimmy Page's gitaar playing, John Paul Jones's amazing bas, bass lines, and John Bonham's thunderous bas, bass drum? A freaking awesome rock band!

#3. Theory of a Deadman
Of course, I had to include this Canadian post-grunge band. Their muziek is amazing. Tyler Connolly is an awesome vocalist. Also, songs like "Hurricane" and "Out of My Head" really rock my world.

#2. Alice in Chains
Of course, I had to include my favoriete grunge band. It's hard to compete with the late Layne Staley's vocals. William DuVall is a good vocalist, but he's not Staley. At least the band still has Jerry Cantrell. He's a great guitarist and songwriter.

#1. Red Hot Chili Peppers
My gebruikersnaam isn't ChiliPepperLuv for nothing. I love this band with all my hart-, hart and all my mind. Anthony Kiedis is an awesome vocalist. Flea is an amazing bassist. Chad Smith is a great drummer. The Chili Peppers also had some of the best guitarists: Hillel Slovak from 1983-1984, and again from 1985-1988, John Frusciante from 1988-1992, and again from 1998-2009, and currently, Josh Klinghoffer.

Wait, what's this? There's a tie for #1!

Tie for #1. The Beatles
How could I not include these lovable lads from Liverpool? They don't tie with the Chili Peppers for nothing. The Beatles and Red Hot Chili Peppers don't seem like comparable artists, but they actually have a lot in common. First of all, u have two of the best-selling artists, the Beatles being the best-selling, and the Chili Peppers being one of the best-selling. Second, they both have four members. Third, they both had a band member named John, (John Lennon and John Frusciante respectively). Finally, the Beatles weren't afraid to experiment with their sound, and neither are the Red Hot Chili Peppers. So, they really have quite a bit in common.
