-Naruto's parents are still alive since the nine-tails doesn't exist,and can't attack them
-Sasuke's clan wasn't killed,so he doesn't brood over life and act like a jerk all the time.
-Naruto still has super human stamina and chakra reserves.It's stated that even without the chakra of the nine-tails,his own chakra was extremely large.

Naruto,now age twelve,rushed out of his home pagina quickly,saying goodbye to his family in a hurried fashion."See'ya after i become a Genin,Mom and Dad!"He shouted,rushing out of the door frantically.He was wearing blue shorts and a blue t-shirt,with a yellow sleeveless zipped up vest over it.He also had own blue sandals,and didn't have on the goggles he'd gotten on his irthday a few years back.
he happily walked down the road to the academy,smiling as people he passed would smile at him and wave.He continued,until he heard two familiar voices."Naruto!Wait up!"A female voice shouted.Hinata,who appeared on his left,smiled brightly.She was wearing blue pants,blue sandals,and a tan jas that went down to near her knees.Sasuke,who appeared on his right,smirked his usual smirk.He was wearing a blue t-shirt with Kahki shorts,and blue sandals.He also had on black and white arm warmers.
"Hey,Naruto.How's it going?"Sasuke said,greeting his friend.Naruto put his hands behind his head as they walked."Not bad,really.Just my dad giving me a little training before the exams.You guys?"He zei casually.Sasuke shrugged."Same as you.My father taught me a jutsu.It's called,Fire Style:fireball jutsu."Naruto looked Awe-Struck."Cool!I learned a new jutsu too though!It's called,Wind Style:Wind bullet.I can shoot wind out of my mouth,and it turns into like,a bullet that explodes into air and knocks u down when it hits you."
Hinata,who had been quiet,spoke up."I learned meer of the Gentle Fist Techniques from my clan."She zei quietly.Sasuke and Naruto had gottten used to her quietness,and now could easily hear if she spoke extremely low.Naruto gve her a thumbs up,and she blushed slightly.Sasuke smiled a little bit at her,showig his own approval."Looks like we all trained for the exams.So,now it's time to toon what we've got."Sasuke stated calmly,giving a determined look at the academy's doors.Naruto and Hinata did as well.

After entering the academy and taking their seats,Naruto,Sasuke,and Hinata all stayed focused,paying attention to Iruka's every word."Today is the dag that u all will take the Genin Exams.This exam will determine if u can become a ninja today,and that means if u fail,you'll stay here for another six months."Iruka explained,gaining a collective groan from the class.
"This exam will be spleet, split into five parts.The Ninjutsu,Taijutsu,Genjutsu,Intelligence,and Physical Fitness.After each of these tests are taken,your scores will be added together to determine whether u pass of fail.Any questions?"Iruka asked,and single,Pink-haired girl raised her hand."Excuse me,Iruka-Sensei,but u zei this test will be spleet, split into five whole parts.Will we be able to finish the whole exam today?Also,will the passing members be gegeven their team assignments today if we do all finish before the dag ends?"
Iruka shook his head."Yes,sakura,we will finish this exam today.However,you will not receive your Squads until tomorrow.Any meer questions?"Nobody raised their hand."Okay then.The first test will be the intelligence test.My assistant,Mizuki,will be passing out the papers now.You have fourty-five minuten to complete this.Begin!"He announced.

After the alloted time passed,and the papers were collected,Iruke sensei spoke again."Okay class.for the volgende portions of the test,you'll be outdoors,for safety precautions.Now,come on,the seconde test is Physical Fitness.Iv'e assembled an obstacle course to gauge your speed and agility,as well as your indurance.You'll go in pairs.First up,Hinata Hyuuga and Sakura Haruno!"He called out.
Hinata,confident in herself,stepped forward.Sakura,also confident,did the same."Let's do our best,Hinata!"Sakura said,extending her hand.Hinata shook her hand,smiling and nodding."Right!"Iruka waited a few meer seconds,before blowing a whistle."Go!"He shouted.The girls then ran through tires,climbed ladders and ropes,and walked across balance beams,before arriving at the finish line.
"Hinata,you finished in 36.5 seconds.Sakura,39.7 seconds.Great job u two.Okay,up volgende is..."The other students did theirs,most finishing at arounf 38-39.Then,came the last pair."Last up,Naruto Namikaze,and Sasuke Uchiha."Naruto and Sasuke fist-bumped,before starting their race.After finishing their race,with barely any distance between them,Iruka revealed ttheir scores.
"Naruto,you got 23.6 seconds.Sasuke,23.8 seconds.Excellent job,both of you!"Iruke congratulated as the class applauded their skill.Naruto and Sasuke grinned,before they moved on to the volgende portion of the exam.
A/N:That was longer than i thought it'd be.I never figured that the Genin exams would be this long.Imagine how the Chuunin Exams will play out.*Shudders*.I'm not sure my fingers'll type that much!And don't worry,naruto won't best sasuke and hinata in everything,and sasuke won't either.Hinata,sasuke,and naruto will all win their fair share during the Genin exams.
