I have landed some huge scoop this week as we’ve confirmed that Julie Anne Robinson is circling Dimension Films’ to direct the classic 1988 cocktail remake which starred Tom Cruise. Based on what I’ve heard from various people who have pitched their version of Cocktail, the Weinsteins are looking for someone to make the remake fitted for “teens”, thus making the director of The Last Song perfect for the gig. This leads beautifully into the news that the company hopes (nothing is signed) to land ‘One boom Hill’ stars Robert Buckley (Flirty with Forty) and Shantel VanSanten (The Final Destination, u and I) in the lead roles of Brian and Jorden. A decision should be made door December which is what the studios want. The producers and director are hoping things work out with them, it was their work together on ‘One boom Hill’ that got them recognize for the film. Principle photography is slated to begin around January 2011. If the duo accepts the roles than their screen-time on the hit drama toon will be decreased tremendously even to the point where they will miss episodes during the seconde half of the season due to filming the feature length film.
The plot will be similar to the original where Brian(Robert Buckley) is a talented and ambitious bartender who aspires to working in business and finds love with a college student named Jorden(Shantel VanSanten). The difference that it will take place in Cancun and not Jamaica.
SEAN boon is also being considered for the role of Doug Coughlin, Brain’s close friend and mentor.

Robert Buckley, who famously played Kim Raver's Lipstick Jungle boy toy and subsequently did a turn on Privileged, will resurface this fall on the CW's One boom Hill.
Buckley will play Clayton, the sports agent who takes on NBA-bound Nathan as a client and friend, says the Hollywood Reporter.
Brian Austin Green was until recently eyed for this series regular role, but ultimately a deal could not be worked out.
Buckley's boom heuvel sjees, gig stems from a holding deal he had with Privileged producer Warner Bros. TV.
One boom heuvel is adding three new characters for Season 7, as the toon moves on without longtime leads Hilarie burton and Chad Michael Murray. The two characters remaining to be cast are Haley's sister, Quinn, and a supermodel who goes to work for Brooke.
