For me, I just found I started to stop watching OTH around the start of the 7th season. I couldn't really get attached to the new characters popping up everywhere, and I don't even know.. :/

i agree with both i mean i didnt mind season 7 it was ok but i just am not liking well liking isnt the right word i dont know im just not into season 8

As soon as Lucas and Peyton left, the show should have ended. It would have been the perfect episode for a series finale. I tried watching the first couple episodes of the 7th season, but I stopped because I couldn't get into it like I used to before.

In only loved seasons 1-6. After Lucas and Peyton left, my fave things about the show were gone: Leyton, Breyton, Laley..
I tried watching season 7 and 8 but it just isn´t the same show anymore:(

What Alohomora first said. I watched the first 2 episodes of season 7. After that I watched bits and pieces when I was flipping channels. So I know Hales' mom died and that Brulian had some drama. The end. Haven't watched any of s8.

Yeah, I think OTH stopped being the same after season 6 begun, but especially in season 7 it became really a show that has almost nothing to do with OTH or is just a cheap repeat of old OTH.
And I dont think there are people that actually prefer the newest season to the oldest (1-4)
