I don't think this dream thing was made to complicate things. I think it was done in respect to all the major relationships luke's had in the past. There will be many fans disappointed when luke makes his final choice, so I think the dreams will be incorporated as a memorial to remind the fans that the relationships were great, but that luke needs to follow his heart and pick his future.

I also think the dreams tell us just how luke came to his decision to propose in 518. So from what i've read/heard, I think that in 601 we'll be shown what happened @ the end of s5 just before luke proposed (luke's dream). 602 I think will be the unveiling of luke's FINAL decision made in 518 (no more triangles - at least on luke's part). but as mark said, he's keeping luke in all the girls' lives next season (ie. brooke & peyton - lindsey's gone after a number of eppies) to keep the fans happy no matter who luke chooses.

I miss an option? Lemme know.

ps. sorry if the middle picture offends some fans (i.e. brucas fans), but I already read the spoiler that it's peyton he chooses; we just don't know what his dream was and what truly brought him to his final decision after the dream(s).

I actually think it was meant to complicate things because Mark is in love with the teenage drama even though they are adults.
I mean, he brought carrie back, didn't he?
Mark loves hormones, bitterness, confusion and depression and he is going to make Luke make some stupid choices... (ex. sleep w/ peyton because he's pissed off about lindsey... just an idea) so that he keeps things heated for season 6.
I have a feeling the person he picks to go to vegas with him, or to be together with him, won't be the person fans hoped for, or the person he is going to stay with for long.
Mark is just creating more obstacles because he has lost story material so he is opening old wounds to create drama and a suspensful sixth season.
Lets just hope he doesn't make oth fade with all this lame love triangle stuff.
Well, that's just one mans opinion (woman, actually but you know what i'm saying :D)

I doubt Mark will get repetitive next season. I think he knows better than that. The love triangles have been played out. If anything, I think s6 will be about closure (either for lundsey or for leyton and maybe even brucas again). Whoever luke chooses, I think he'll have closure with the other two girls. I think s6 will be like s4 - more action/drama and less love triangle drama. Brooke might have some love drama with Owen though since he "is" coming back :D

but I think luke will finally be done with the love drama. but you never know...mark "is" human, so you might be right. at first when I heard about the dream thing I kinda thought what you thought...but then I listened to a podcast that explains that the dream is what brought luke to make his decision in 518 and I thought it fit better. It sounds more like what mark would do. Mark's decisions may seem rash or out of the blue but he ALWAYS makes it work (make sense). Brucas suddenly having feelings again with nothing to back it up from s5 would be unrealistic. So I think luke's dream could possibly be the final seal for brucas. Since the actress who plays lindsey is leaving for L&A SVU, I think luke's dream will also be the final seal for lundsey (even though lindsey will be in a few eppies for s6 before she leaves for good I think).

So as a leyton fan, I can only hope that all signs will point to leyton next season. For Good.

1. I'm not taking any spoiler I read as being definite, b/c as we all no alot of spoilers turn out FALSE. And I wouldn't be suprised if Mark shoots a scene for each girl in which she is "the girl" just to confuse fans and actors. Like when he did with who did the dealership fire.
2.The dream could be a dream of clarity I do think, but it could also be just a Memorial dream, and in the end it will probably be a little of both.
3. While I'm not saying this to get anyone upset or start anything, I think that Leyton fans should be careful not to count their chickens before the hatch or you might end up with egg on your face.

Elliesowner, like I said before, I'm still keeping myself prepared for anything. It's already confirmed that luke chooses peyton, but for all we know it may not last. s6 could be about closure for those two just as much as brucas/lundsey. Who knows? Can't help but hope that it lasts though :)

haha she probs meant cbs.. cant be stuffed? it's possible that mark might be setting some false trails as to which girl he picks.. i think that it would be the smart thing to do, to keep fans in the dark... as for the dream, i definately think that its what makes lucas's choice for him... but as to which girl, i don't know... i can only hope its peyton, and for good! and i agree with abs ^^. i think there will be less love triangle/ rectangle, more ... drama. lol
