Dyeing your hair and playing dress up doesn't make you emo, and having two x's on either end of your username adds to the impression that you're probably about eleven years old.

I don't like the stereotype emo. They just can't stop whining. I've got a lot of friends who dress like them, but they are pretty cool people to hang out with, and make lots of jokes and laugh a lot. MUCH more fun to hang out with. The whiney stereotype emo's who cut themselfs? I have no ounce of respect for them, as humane as it sounds.

I like gothic fashion, but I don't follow it blindly. I make my own style based on pretty things I see. I like different kinds of music on different occasions.
You would most likely say I'm half-goth or something.
But I'm not whiny, depressive, homicidal, Satanist, Tara Gilsebie-ish or anything else some people associate the gothic subculture with.
I'm not even a 'follower' of the subculture, I'm not deep into it and I don't call myself gothic. But if someone else wants to, please understand that it's not a proper name. I have my own style, goth just inspires me.
