Rosalie Lillian Hale was born to a middle-class family in 1915 in Rochester, New York. Her father had a stable job in a bank while her mother was a housewife. Her parents were social climbers and Rosalie, who was extraordinarily beautiful, was the ticket they needed to reach their social aspiration. She was clearly the favoriete of her parents, with two younger brothers.
