"STOP CRYING!" The girl yelled over the many little deadolls that now wept. "Ugh. Princesses are supposed to be waited on hand and foot, and yet I have to look after a bunch of babies." Amaris looked up. "Oh, C'mon Bacia, u can't blame them. After that attack, their terrified. Have some compassion." Bacia groaned. "Well, sorry. I'm not supposed to be princess anyway." Bacia's eyes started to glaze over. Rati snapped her fingers in front of Bacia's face. Bacia looked at her. But Rati had already turne her head to the ground. Akuji approached. "We're lucky to be alive. That was the worst attack in our lifetimes." A small deadoll sitting in front looked up. She had purple hair and an oranje eye. Unlike the other crying deadolls, she was not scared. “There were only thirty.” she stated in a small voice. Bacia changed the subject. “Did u see the way Amaris kicked that dragon’s butt when it went for Adrian? I know I did!” she said. Amaris blushed. “So, u were lying.” Adrian said, “You do like me.” Amaris blushed again. “WELL, IT’S NOT LIKE I WANTED u TO DIE!” she yelled. “A little overly defensive, are we?” teased Adrian. At Amaris’ scream, the toddlers burst into meer tears. “Way to go.” Bacia groaned. Adrian pulled the case off his back. He lifted out a violin. I didn’t know Adrian could play the violin, Amaris thought. He then began to play a song no one had ever heard before. Smiles stretched across deadoll’s faces. Girls giggled. But some thing that no one expected happened then. The girl with purple pigtails stood. She put her hand on her heart, and in a high, young voice she sang. Not in English, but in Japanese. At least, that’s what Amaris thought it was. Once she finished, she took a bow and everyone clapped. “Hey, how do u know that song?” asked Adrian. “I dunno.” and the girl began to walk off. Wait,” called Amaris. “How do u know that song?” The girl looked at her. “I could teach it to you! My name’s Sati! What’s yours?” Amaris stared in disbelief. “Um, sure. Name’s Amaris.” she answered. “Well that’s sort of long, and hard to remember,” Sati said, “Do u mind if i call u Ami?” “Well-” Amaris started. “Great! I’ll see u tomorrow-dechu!” And she ran off. “Dechu?” a confused Amaris wondered.

“OWWW!!!” the scream echoed through the empty hallways. “OW! OW! OWWWWW!” Of course, Adrian didn’t hear it. He was too busy, teaching himself to play the guitar. Adrian had taught himself to play many instruments. His favoriete was the violin, though he didn’t know why. Not many knew Adrian as a music-lover. Well, maybe that was because meer of an escape than a hobby. An escape from a dark secret.
_______________
“C’MON, ALREADY! There are people waiting out here!” yelled Akuji. “You need to learn patience.” Bacia calmly called. “Bacia, just because your ‘princess’ doesn't mean u can hog the whole bathroom!” Ever since Akuji’s old bunkmate left, she’s had to share a bunk with the high-and-mighty-Bacia. It stunk. Renee was Rati’s bunk-mate, and Amaris didn’t have a bunk-mate. Lucky.

“OK, everyone! It’s time to go to bed!” yelled Renee. And she turned off the lamp.
