Victoria Guthrie
Things are about to get alien for actress Victoria Guthrie who is joining the sci-fi meets soap opera web series “Milgram and the Fastwalkers.”

The award-winning toon racked up over 2.5 million aantal keer bekeken during its first season and looks to continue building momentum for the second, which kicked off earlier this month.

Victoria portrays UFO researcher Claire Tilghlman, adding another layer to this story of Dr. Daniel Milgram, M.D. (Richard Cutting). This world-class psychiatrist in the field of abnormal psychology, inadvertently becomes a detective along with his client, Sally Lemm (Walker Hays), as they plunge into the dark world of alien intrusion and its effects on everyday lives.

Earlier this year, Victoria was seen on the film festival circuit in the award-winning indie short “Master Cleanse” and feature film “Wallabout.” Her credits also include appearances on Investigation Discovery’s “Redrum” and on IFC’s parody news show, “Onion News Network.”

I recently caught up with Victoria Guthrie to find out about “Milgram and the Fastwalkers” and more.

Tell us about your role in "Milgram and the Fastwalkers".

VICTORIA: Claire is an unusual woman. I She has many dichotomies, like embodying many male characteristics such as being a mathematical genius, not taking flak from anyone and being on overdrive. At the same time she loves the meer female sport of shopping and some gal pals. She is a Mensa with a wicked sense of humor and irony. I can't give away too much, so let's just say that there are some big surprises that will be revealed about Claire!

What would u consider your characters ‘best’ quality?

VICTORIA: Her best quality is her straight from the hip demeanor. Also, she helps others to become the best they can be. This is one of her quests. And their ‘worst’? She will turn on a dime so quick your head will spin. Again, meer surprises coming in the toon about Claire's less attractive but humorous qualities.

Any interesting stories from the set u can share with us?

VICTORIA: Everything on the set went flawless. Sorry, nothing juicy to meld here.

Are u a sci-fi fan and what was it like working in this genre?

VICTORIA: I am a sci-fi fan. Working on a low budget sci-fi project always makes me a bit nervous because this genre can look really C grade if it's not done well. The special effects required for sci-fi generally cost a lot of money and can look cartoonish if not done well.

I also just had a screening of another sci fi short "Selected" which is being pitched for tv and they ,also, did an amazing job with the special effects.

The production quality of both "Milgram and the Fastwalkers" and "Selected" are at a professional level. I'm not sure if I've been lucky to work with good people and/or technology is improving overall.

What’s the biggest lesson u learned from working on this project?

VICTORIA: I was really swamped with multiple projects when we were filming and didn't have a chance to become totally comfortable off book. This experience showed me that with a few run through s I can bring in just as good and fresh of a performance as having all the text down cold in advance. Sometimes, u just have to fly with it.

And, now just for fun:
What’s your favoriete food?
VICTORIA: Lobster

Cats of dogs?
VICTORIA: Long haired cats: especially Persians and Himalayans

favoriete movie from your childhood.
VICTORIA: Lassie (as a young child). Starwars, ET and Flashdance as a teenager.

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.
VICTORIA: Everyone thinks I am runner of do yoga because I'm really long and lean, but I don't do any cardio. I lift heavy weights 4x a week. My 3 rep weight on a deadlift is 190lbs. I weigh 112lbs.
