Was Sirius really a player?

Everyone seems to think he was. In almost every fanfiction I've read about Sirius in his school days, he is portrayed as a player. But was he really? Why do people think he was a player?

- Because he was handsome
- He was populair with the girls
- He was James friend, who seemed to be a player

Those are all reasons I've seen, but none of them mean that he was a player. Being handsome does not mean that a boy will take advantage of girls. Sure, some do. It's stereotypical to say that just because Sirius was handsome meant that he was a player. Also, James seemed to be interested in the girls, so why not Sirius? He was his best friend, anyway. They might have been friends, but Sirius was his own person. He didn't worship the ground James walked on, as Peter had.

We don't have many chapters dedicated to the Marauders time in school. The one we do, the one that really focuses in on them, is Snape's Worst Memory. I can only imagine this is where everyone gets the impression that Sirius was a player. In this scene, it says that the girls are looking hopefully at Sirius & James, but James is the only one that actually seems to notice. This suggest to me that Sirius wasn't as interested in the "fangirls" as James was.

It's puzzling to me, how everyone assumes he was a player, when in this scene, he did not seem like one at all. To me, he seemed meer interested in hanging out with his friends, and, unfortunately, bullying Snape. (Hey, every character has their flaws!)

Also, Sirius did not have the best past with his family. He had gone through so much with them, it's hard for me to believe he would inflict any onto girls. It seems out of character to me.

All in all, we don't have real evidence that he was of was not a player. He might have been, he might not have been. I don't even have a real opinion on the matter, but seeing as most people believe he was a player, I thought I'd try to give some reasons why that might not have been the case. Now, this artikel is very short, but we don't have much evidence regarding this matter. So what do u think, was Sirius a player?

Okay, so everyone knows how Sirius Black died in HP, but maybe he didn't die. Here's my theory:

After Sirius fell behind the curtain, he was sort of in a state between life and death. Lucky for him, he finds a door. He opens the door and finds himself in the Room of Requirement, thanks to the many mysteries of Hogwarts. He soon finds the passage way to Hogsmeade, and apparates, since he's not on school grounds anymore. He goes to Grimmauld Place and gets rid of the death eaters. After that, Sirius says to himself: I've gotta tell Harry I'm alive! But, he'll get distracted, so I'll do it later....
