Clark was just starting his freshman jaar in high school when his father told him that his biological parents were extra terrestrials. He wondered why they sent him away, but Jonathan had no antwoorden for him.
Dr. Swann delivers Jor-El's message to Clark.It was meer than a jaar later when he met Virgil Swann and he received part of the answer. Dr. Swann intercepted a message which indicated only that Clark is from Krypton and that his parents intended to look out for him:
