I'm very sad about the Colt not working. I really wanted it to. :( But I've got several theories about what could work (Sword of Lucifer, Gabriel, God, Jesse, demon revolt, etc) but I think I'll just wait and see what Kripke comes up with.

There are many things that could possibly work:my first thought is God will kill him but because it's SPN I don't think something like this will happen.My second thought is Michael's sword or even Michael's forgiveness might magically work and render Lu helpless and kill him.This would also convey the show's message that brotherly love is so strong and sacred.My next guess would be an ancient artefact.We'll have to wait and see :)

If they go by the lore they have created then any angel can smite him. It takes an angel to kill an angel. While Micheal is the one that is suppose to do it, it could be anyone. It just takes the strength. I would like to see Cas, Sam, and Dean work together to set a trap and have Cas be the one that actually kills him. If not then God will reappear from playing skeet ball (Dogma reference) and take care of him, even though he didn't to begin with. I think in the end it will be the boys saying yes and them fighting though. They have repeatedly said that they want the characters to die in the end in a blaze of glory. I figure in the end Sam will over power Lu while he is hosting him and give dean/micheal the chance to kill Lu before they both die.

I hope we find out what other four things the Colt can't kill are.

I agree with tinkymel, its just going to take another angel to kill lu, and it would be AWESOME if it was Cas.

I know Kripke has talked about how tough it's going to be to cast God... that kinda gives me the idea that God will play a role in it.

Dean is Michael vessel but it was his sword that sent him to hell the first time it didn't kill him but sent him to hell. I think that is what is going to happen is that Lu can't be kill but sent back to hell.

Well I agree with tinkymel. My best guess would be that it comes down to the boys eventually saying yes and fighting each other. Otherwise what's the point of Dean being Michael's sword and Sam being Lu's vessel? But this is Kripke we're talking about, so who knows?
