Because Dean and Cas share a 'profound bond',Cas has mention it in SPN6x03,this shows that he closed to Dean than Sam,if you watch SPN6x21,he tell his story,and mostly,Dean will appear.He talks about Dean a lot.You'll see Dean was hurt the most when Cas look away from him when he asked Cas if he working together with Crowley.Somehow we always have a reason/evidence to relate Cas and Dean.So,when we talked about Cas,of course we will include Dean on conversation:)

Dean did 'Next to Sam,you(Castiel) and Bobby are the closest thing I have to family,that you are like a brother to me'..Its means a lot to fans.I think that quotes drives people to madness,but Destiel...Hm,if this term refers as friendship,then I'm all in.But if it is a slash relationship...I..I cant imagine it*blush*
