Lately I have noticed that I have had a diminishing interest in what is being shown on the TV. I see too much reality TV, too many random comedies that come and go to the extent I’ve started to wonder if TV has turned into a whore house kind of business. This isn’t a rant against TV in any sense, I am merely trying to explain my current predicament (which is sad that I find it a predicament considering that watching too little TV is a good thing). It turns out that I now only watch one toon regularly and that’s House MD. I have come to the TV spot in the hopes that people will be able to toon me shows that are intelligent, unique and worth watching week after week.
Shows that I like
I thought it might help people for suggestions if they see shows that I watch occasionally to get a feel for what I like.
Dramas:
House MD- the toon I watch every week.
Bones- I find highly entertaining; I like the creativity it shows and the out of the box thinking when it comes to solving the cases. I prefer it to CSI because it tends to explore the characters involved.
Dexter- Though I’ve only seen a few episodes, I have found this toon extremely fascinating and completely unique.
CSI NY- I like puzzles
Comedies:
30 Rock- This toon I would watch regularly if I could find decent linken to new episodes. I adore this toon because of the main character Liz citroen and the large amounts of intelligence and satire that go into writing this show.
Frasier- It’s not often that a toon makes me laugh my ezel off almost every time I watch it.
Scrubs- I find the characters actually quiet deep but completely hilarious at the same time.
The Office- I’ve only seen season 2 though.
Blackadder- History + humor= pure genius
Types of shows I dislike:
-Any form of reality TV I hate
- Not a fan of teen dramas
-I don’t really like shows where relationships are the most important thing
- Not a fan of shows that just use violence and action to make up for lack of story
-Stupid comedy for example jack ass.
What I’m looking for:
- Intelligence
- Well balanced cast where almost all of the characters are loved
- Well developed interesting stories
- Deep (for dramas)
- Unique (I’m a sucker for that)
So do u guys think u could help me out, any suggestions? I have a very open mind to shows and will watch almost anything at least twice before deciding if I like it of not. Please put your suggestions in this way, one because I’m anal and two because it really helps.
