the book waz 100x betta!

if i didn't read the book and saw the movie before i read the book it wouldn't make any sense...

i LOVED this book. i read it at least 3 times, probably more. my alltime favorite book for sure.

Coppola made a good movie, though, which is rare.

they're almost the EXACT same. it was easier to follow the book though because it was narrated but its remarkable how similar the two are.

I chose the movie, cuz I saw it before I read the book (we watched it in English class last year) But then I read the book and its my favorite. I can't believe it was written by someone so young!

p.s. I liked it so much that I memorized "Nothing Gold Can Stay"

I like the book too but I like the movie becuz I get to see Ralph Macchio on the screen and not to mention the other cute guys on screen ( Rob Lowe and Matt Dillon) but Ralph Macchio is the BEST :)

I loved the book so much!

They missed two really important parts in the movie. The part where Soda is imitating the news reporter and the part where Ponyboy, Two-Bit, and Steve were at the grocery store and Ponyboy holds up the bottle to defend himself from the Socs. Those would've been hilarious! I really liked it when Ponyboy was explaining all the characters near the beginning, too.

Every time I see the movie I find more things gone that where in the book. I mean from where they are standing.

Alright, I just HAD to pick the movie because of my Dally And Sodapop (Matt Dillon & Rob Lowe)!!! You can't see their faces in the book, but ya can visualize in ur head!!! But, that doesn't mean the book wasn't GREAT!!! If your gonna watch the movie, read the book first, then watch the EXTENDED VERSION of the movie. Much better than the original movie. But i still luv it. I just wish the movie could be EXACTLY the same as the book. OH WELL!!! @ Least there is and EPIC cast!!! STAY GOLD, EVERYONE!!! <3

The book I fell in love with then I watched the movie and the characters and the movie all together really touched my heart.

I honestly love them both the same.

The book is so beautiful and emotional. The movie is really good, really fun, and omg... they're all so adorable... but overall, it wasn't as emotional as the book.
