The Reformed Mephiles Vraag

Has anyone else noticed how in Sonic 06, Mephiles' muzzle is kinda jaggered?

Probably due to an incompleate character model, but... u know. Just wondering if it's really weird to be this observant. O.o

I see it now, in a game review with the creators, they zei it's probably because if an incomplete character design, me thinks not, though.
