Expect a very different Rick Grimes when

Andrew Lincoln has promised that his encounter with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will leave Rick a changed man...if he survives.

"He\'s powerless for the first time since he woke up from the coma," Lincoln told press at San Diego Comic-Con. "Everything he\'s worked for, for two years, has been shattered in 24 hours.

"So he\'s not in a good space and I think if he makes it through the first episode, then he\'s different. He\'ll be a different man."

But will Rick change for the better? He\'s been going down a dark path for a while now – so could the arrival of Negan help him see the light?

"I think the blurring of lines between who\'s the hero and who\'s the villain is part of the DNA of the show," Lincoln hinted.
