The beautiful little girl of about three sprinted from the tafel, tabel where she’s sitting towards the door of the daycare room as soon as she saw her father entering.
Tony had barely stepped into the the door’s threshold when the little bundle of giggles just launched herself without warning towards her father’s legs.
“Daddy!”
“Oof! hey, slow down!” as he lowered himself into his knees to match the little girl’s height and gave her a tight hug and a kiss on the top, boven of her head.
“I swear u are turning meer like your mother everyday, ninja speed and all” He laughed.
“Whewe’s Mommy?” as the little girl cranes her neck and struggles to turn again towards the door.
“She’s still upstairs, Grampa Gibbs had her make some phone calls then your baby brother had to have his lunch first.”
“AJ thewe?” She asked with a slight lisp.
“Yep, and he and Mommy are waiting for you, so let’s go”
Tony lifted his little daughter up and carried her from Daycare towards the elevators heading upstairs to the squad room. He let her press the elevator buttons as she often likes to do.
As soon as the doors slid open, she wiggled to come down from her father’s arms and started speeding towards where she knew her mother was.
“Mommy!”
Everybody in the squad room looked at the little speeding ball of energy and smiled.
Of course, everybody knows who the little girl is.
Little Ava DiNozzo, the firstborn of Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. The only one who could put a princess crown on top, boven of her Daddy’s head and get away with it.
The first person who made Ziva’s maternal side, that they didn’t even know exist, toon up and stay.
The only one who could make Agent Gibbs burst out loud with laughter.
The child who changed and bonded Team Gibbs tighter than ever.
“Hello sweetheart, Mommy missed you” Ziva opened her right arm to hug her daughter and gave her a kiss, her left arm occupied door the nursing little boy who was nearly dozing but opened his eyes when he heard his sister’s voice.
“Hey AJ” as Ava softly tapped her baby brother’s chubby fists. AJ quickly left the bron of his meal unattended as he tries to swivel towards his sister with a huge gummy grin.
Little Ava leaned vooruit, voorwaarts on her toes to kiss her brother’s nose and giggled when AJ start blowing melk bubbles.
Ziva sighed but smiled over her children’s antics and started covering herself up again knowing her son will not finish nursing with the distraction.
Tony reached Ziva’s bureau and gave his wife a huge grin.
“Lots of ninja moves, this one” gesturing towards Ava as he gave his son a soft kiss on the head and Ziva a quick peck on her lips.
Ziva smirked “You say that every single day.”
“Well, it’s true! Right boss?” As Tony saw Gibbs enter the squad room.
“She is her mother’s daughter, Dinozzo”
