I have to say I usually don't really like Tom Cruise, but I thought playing Lestat was the best performance of his entire career. In my opinion he has never been anywhere near as good in anything else as he was as Lestat.
A close second for me would be James Martsers who I really love, but I picked Tom just because his portrayal of Lestat was so far above his usual level of skill, he really seemed to give something in that role he doesn't usually show.
Add anyone, but no women because I'm doing a seperate pick for actresses :)

Ok, so Brad Pitt coz I think he fulfilled his role the most, i.e. he was able to capture Louis beautifully. Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend are a close second. Stuart because his version of Lestat is just plain cool, and makes you go, "wow vampires are awesome!" And Tom because he captures the elegance of being a 19th century vampire.

It was close between him, Tom Cruise, and James Marsters, but I love how he managed to switch from Angel to Angelus. Joss Whedon doubted his ability to do so, and he was surprised.

No biggie Myf, I just took off the girlie vamp option, but hey there's a pick for female vamps, and I don't know her so do you want to add her on that for me? Oh, and what is she from? She looks kinda familiar, but I can't place her so I don't know if I've seen her as a vamp. If not I should check out what she was in because she looks cool as hell :)

And I agree with your comment about Brad, Tom and Stuart (I developed a total crush on Stuart as Lestat, he was definetly cool in the role, and you could really see some of the Lestat charisma in his appeal couldn't you?)

Stuart definitely did capture a fare few of Lestat's characteristics especially his charisma. and yes Stuart is YUMMY!

All of them, except for Stuart Towsned, sorry he f*cked up Lestat in the worse way, not just with looks, but with his very dialouge. Tom Cruise was the best For Lestat and no one will ever tell me different. Still, I can't choose because all of them were great for the different vampires they played. David was Great as Angel and Tom Cruise was great as Lestat. They were all perfect for there part. (Except Stuart. Would love to see him as a vamp, but not Lestat. He's more of a Nicholas character.)

Christopher Lee, Gary Oldman & Keifer was cool too. The rest were okay
