“Are u okay?!” I asked as I rushed to Zaria and Iris.
“Somewhat,” Iris zei giving me a shaky smile, while Zaria replied. “Define okay.”
I helped them out of the water, they were soaked, and kept on slipping. Which led me to fall into the water.
“Sorry,” Iris said, looking at my now wet clothes sorrowfully.
“It’s okay let’s just get out of here.” I said, pulling them toward the ground.
“Wait!” Zaria exclaimed, swimming towards something…was that a book?
Iris and I watched as she snatched the book and swam back to us, I shrugged and then helped towed them toward the edge. Stilere was there and helped us all.
“That was crazy, u guys are soaked! Thank God your okay,” she zei hugging us as we reached the safely to the shore.
“It was so bizarre,” Iris zei softly, looking at the waters. “The lightning hit right where the book came, and then the book appeared, and when we held onto it…the storm just…”
“Stopped.” Zaria said, studying the book.
“You may just be tired,” Stilere reasoned.
“We can talk about this later.” I said, stopping a fight. “But right now we need to get out of here, and find our way home, we missed the bus.”
“If we missed the bus then how can we get home?” Stilere asked.
“I can call my mom,” Iris offered, “she’ll understand.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Zaria said. “Come on, let’s go find the others.”
“Still in the cave, wanted to make sure the coast was clear.” I zei as we made our way.
As soon as we entered screams filled the cave, the girls were jumping up and down and the guys were trying to look manly but showed that they were extremely relieved.
“We thought u were goners!” Edith shrieked. “It was a miracle we made it here in time!”
“Okay, girly squeals that will forever damage our hearing later, getting out of here safely and quickly, now.” I say, and everyone nods feverishly in agreement.
“How about we take the bus?” Darren cuts in. “I saw one on our way here.”
“But calling her mom means no money,” Stilere informed.
“Oh my gosh! My parents are going to kill me!” Terry bellows, covering her face with her hands. “The school’s gonna kill us! Did they even know were gone?”
“We can’t be sure,” Zaria says. “There’s nine of us here, maybe?”
“Let’s just get out of here before something else unwanted and random comes,” Abe grumbles, brushing his dark hair from his eyes.
“I agree,” Brooklyn pipes up, her accent making her sound meer hysterical.
“Then let’s go!” Mikey yells, dragging us out of there.
    _A few agonizing minuten later_
The school had noticed our diassapearance, the minuut Iris called her mom she freaked and called the police. Later we learned that our dissapearnce was displayed on the news, and they demanded to know what happened.
But how could we tell them we were just lounging door the strand when a storm hit? I thought that was suicide, but Brooklyn did not.
She explained everything I waited for the laughter, but all we got was puzzled glances.
“Look if u don’t believe us, we can toon u our scars.” Edith told them, tonen them an oscar worthy special effects scar she got from the storm.
The police men eyed us suspiciously. “There was no storm kids, people that lived close to that area didn’t get any ‘storm’ u described.”
“But it happened!” Abe yelled. “We didn’t make it up! It really happened!”
They shook your heads, “our guess u guys got knocked out door a hit and run and tossed to the ocean, unless u were purposely causing harm to yourselves.”
The police men eyes our still wet closthes, they were a little dry, but an indicator that we were wet.
“Look I think something got slipped in your drink, of your playing us. But why you’d cause yourself that much pyshical harm is unlikely, so u guys were probably drugged.”
    “But-”
“Let’s get ya’ll to the hospital.” The police cut us off and despite our protests put us in there cars and drove us to the hospital.
But it sure didn’t feel like it.

Chapter Six

It was exactly what Dakota feared. The figure now huddled in a conner weeping it's eyes out. It was Reese but this side of Reese was something Dakota had never seen before. It was bizarre and horrifying. Reese didn't even notice Dakota staring at her through the tiny window on the door. Reese was probably so insane that she probably did kill Abby whether she knew it of not. Dakota couldn't process her friend of what she thought was her friend. The girl inside of that room was a monster, a trembling, distraught, monster.

Well, this is a song I wrote.

I've heard it wrong
There's been a mistake
There was a time when I won and I knew it

We will go on and on and on and on
There will be no meer mistakes
For the future
We will fight through it all without complaint

We are the winners, my friend
And we'll fight through it all in the end
There's no time to lose it
Cuz we are the winners

Well, I know that it's been a great day
We've done it all
We've been the best we can be and u know it
We are the winners, my friend.

Chapter Eight: Hello, Stranger Please Don't Betray Me

The guy stood in front of us. We needed to give him answer and fast. He was a spy and he probably knew meer then he was letting on. This make sit hard to trust him. Courtney immediately zei yes. I gave her a glare and shrugged. Raven was nodding her head as while. It made me think. Were they up to something? Did they know the guy? They could have known him because he goes here for school. Actually, he seemed much older then the rest of us. He had boyish features but he certainly was someone who looks much older then 18.

This a short poem I came up with. I'm not a descriptive person. I prefer just simple words in poems. This deals with the term, "Looking behind the smile." This is inspired door a friend and mine's life experiences. Enjoy :)

Gone: a poem

She sat alone
in the corner of the room.
She didn't speak
she would merely loom.
Like she was a shadow
an invisible ghost.
No one gave
a damn at the most.

She would sit there
and simply stare
looking at those
who ignored her.
No one looked
at her twice
no one bothered
when she was nice.

She was a nobody,
forgotten door all.
Her ever-blank stares
directed at the bare, empty wall....
