Chapter 5 – Girls . . . (Renesmee)
The three of us rushed down the stairs, giggling as we went.
“Ah yes, pizza!” Kasie exclaimed excitedly, pushing ahead of Michelle and I to take a zitplaats, stoel in the dining room.
“Is she always like this?” I asked of Michelle as she shook her head in near embarrassment.
“This is all me, all day!” She shouted, peeking out around the corner. I still didn’t know how she was so receptive when it came to the things I zei to Michelle, she always knew about our conversations and always had an answer to my vragen from vorige days and times. It was very strange.
Michelle took a zitplaats, stoel beside her sister while Nana Esme set plates before us.
“Thank u Grandpa.” I said, as I took my zitplaats, stoel and he placed the open box before us.
“You’re welcome,” He smiled. “Enjoy.” With that he turned and climbed the staircase.
“Isn’t he hungry?” Michelle asked in a low voice, leaning across the tafel, tabel slightly.
“My family ate earlier.” I zei quickly, helping myself to a slice.
“I didn’t!” Jacob exclaimed as he moved into the archway, shirtless as always, wearing only the jeans he kept at the cottage.
“Hey, Jake,” I smiled, enclosing the cheese and crust I was chewing behind my teeth.
“Hey,” He greeted, sitting beside me. Kasie’s face stretched to an unimaginable smile. Michelle was suddenly nodding at a quick pace while her eyes stared widely at the tall man’s physique. “Hey, I’m Jacob.” He held out a hand with a smile.
“Kasie,” She zei quickly, shaking his hand without a seconde thought, the smile never leaving her lips. “This is my sister, Michelle. She’s a bit on the quiet side.” She jested, punching Michelle lightly on the shoulder.
“It’s good to meet you, Jacob.” She responded robotically, taking his hand after a moment of staring.
“It’s nice to meet u both. Renesmee’s had a lot to say about you.”
“Really? She talks about us that much?” Kasie continued while her movements and expressions turned to a flirtatious manner.
“Sure, sure,” Jacob zei with a nod, reaching into the box for a slice of pizza just as Esme placed a plate before him. “Thanks, Esme.”
“No problem, Dear.”
Jacob took a large bite while Kasie continued making goo-goo eyes.
“Here u go, Jacob.” Mom zei as she entered with a bright blue button down.
“Thanks, Bells.” He wiped his hands on a napkin and took from her hand. He pulled the overhemd, shirt on, rolling the sleeves to his elbows and lining up the buttons with the holes.
“Do u want some help with that?” I asked; I really wanted to stop Kasie’s gazing.
“Sure,” He adjusted his position and I buttoned the overhemd, shirt up slowly, stopping two from the top.
“Better?”
“Much,” He murmured, staring into my eyes. I blushed, turning to my food quickly. Kasie’s eyes fell to her own while Michelle smirked lightly.
“So, Jacob . . . How do u know Renesmee?” Michelle asked with full concentration, suddenly much meer talkative.
“I’ve been a friend of the family for years. I actually knew Bella when she was a kid.”
“How interesting,” She said, winking very obviously in my direction.
“How old are u then?” Kasie asked, less interested in him, keeping her food within her sights the entire time.
Jacob shot me a sideways glance, “Twenty-Five.” Technically he was though he hadn’t aged a dag since he’d turned seventeen.
“Bit old don’t u think?” She asked suspiciously, her eyes narrowing as she finally looked up from her food.
“Not really,” I zei certainly with a shrug. “We’re just vrienden anyway so why should it matter what the age difference is?”
“You just turned eighteen,” Kasie was sure to point out. She paused for a moment then turned to Michelle who was picking at the cheese left on her plate, “No!”
We sat in silence, Jacob and I exchanged confused looks while Kasie glared at her sister. Kasie’s face suddenly softened and she nodded once. Her smile when she turned back was apologetic.
“Sorry for that. I was just, um, she was kicking my chair.”
“Oh,” I zei blankly, lifting an eyebrow in Jacob’s direction.
“Sorry,” Michelle replied, not looking away from her plate.
We moved to the living room, Jacob sitting in one of the large armchairs while the three of us took the couch.
“So, what do u ladies have planned for the evening?” Jacob asked, stretching out sleepily. He’d obviously run meer than his share of patrols while still making time for me.
“Not a whole lot,” I answered automatically. “Girl stuff, u know.”
“Yeah, I know. I saw the things Alice picked out. Foofey stuff. u girls are all the same.” He shook his head with a mocking smile.
I rolled my eyes, “Yes well, when it’s time for the hoofdkussen, kussen fight we’ll give u a call.”
“Pillow fight?” He asked, sitting up right to look us over.
Michelle swatted my arm playfully. “Shh! Nessie u can’t give away all our secrets! Especially to a . . . boy.”
“Boy?” Jacob was flummoxed.
I nodded, smirking teasingly.
“Maybe I should go.” He rose from his seat.
“I’ll walk u out.” I zei quickly.
We stepped out onto the porch. He turned to look at me as I pulled the door closed behind us.
“Sorry about that. They’re a little, weird.” I claimed, knowing full well that any secrets they had couldn’t compare to any of mine.
“So u zei before,” He nodded.
“I hope u weren’t offended of anything.”
“Of course not,” He replied, waving a passive hand.
“I’m glad,” I sighed, looking to the deck.
He strode forward, his movements smooth and gentle. He lifted my chin, looking deep into my eyes. “I want u to have fun tonight, Renesmee. Promise me.”
I stared back, his eyes locking mine in a sort of limbo; my stomach did somersaults as we stood so close.
“Can u promise?”
I nodded.
“Good,” He zei plainly, releasing my face and moving backward off of the porch. “Will I see u tomorrow?”
“Do u have to ask?”
“I guess not.” He halted his movement, a gentle smile spreading over his face. “Could I confess something?”
“Anything,” I replied. He looked amazing in the moonlight.
“I only came over because I thought Andrew may be here.”
“What?” I was dumbfounded. Since when did Jacob see it appropriate to do something like that?
He shrugged.
“You’re jealous?”
“Me? Heck no!” He scoffed.
I smiled, “Sure, sure.”
“I’ll see u tomorrow then.”
I nodded, “Tomorrow.”
He turned, halting once meer after only a few steps.
“Forget something?”
“Yeah,” He unbuttoned the overhemd, shirt he’d borrowed and jogged back up onto the porch. “Tell Bella I zei ‘thanks’ again, will you.”
“Of course.”
He kissed my cheek. “Good night. I’ll be close.”
“I know u will.” I mumbled, staring at the button down in my hands.
With that, he jogged out of sight.
I reentered the living room, hearing only the click of the door when I entered.
“Ooh, u got his shirt, huh?” Kasie started with a grin.
“My uncle’s shirt,” I corrected, hanging it over the newel post.
“I’m sorry I was so rough earlier. I’m kind of jealous . . . of everyone.”
“Its fine, he didn’t take any offense of anything.” I took my place on the divan, bank beside them, pulling a throw hoofdkussen, kussen into my lap. “He’s really sweet. u should give him a chance. I know he’d love to be your friend.”
“Really?”
“Of course. Any friend of mine should be a friend of his.”
“You make it sound a little like you’re dating.” Michelle perceived softly.
“No. It’s really not like that.”
“You don’t fool us.” Kasie zei loudly, like always.
“I’m not trying to fool you.”
“Then why won’t u just admit u want him?”
“Because I don’t have to admit anything I don’t want to.” I picked idly at the corner of the hoofdkussen, kussen in my lap.
Michelle giggled, “It’s okay if u like him, Nessie.”
“I know,” I defended. “It’s just a long story. Can we pick a new subject?”
We moved our chat upstairs after turning down Alice for the third time when she offered up pedicures. We changed into our pajamas then crawled onto the large bed as a knock sounded from the door.
“Come in,” I called.
“I wasn’t sure if u were hungry so I thought I might bring u some popcorn.” Nana Esme zei humbly, setting the bowl on the bedside table.
“Thank u Nana.”
“Thank u Esme.” Michelle and Kasie chimed together.
“You’re welcome, girls. And I brought this too, my favoriete movie,” She placed the slim case in Michelle’s hand, “if you’re interested.”
“Very, I love this movie!” Michelle said, staring down at the cover of Gone with the Wind.
“Oh, well, there u go then. u have a good night.”
“We will. Good night Nana,” I discharged as she smiled.
“Good night.” She left the room, closing the door behind her.
“She’s so sweet,” Michelle derided with a soft grin, placing the DVD beside the popcorn bowl.
“She really is,” Kasie agreed, looking out the window. “It’s so beautiful. u must love living out here.”
“I do. It’s so much nicer than New Hampshire. There wasn’t a whole lot of space there. We lived in this really nice ranch house, lots of trees and stuff but not as open, the neighbors were a bit too close for comfort. Out here u get everything, the quiet, the space, and all the love in the world.”
“That’s a way of putting it I suppose. I’m still getting used to all the rain.”
“It’s not so bad. Just look at it this way, without the rain, everything would be brown and ugly rather than rich and green.”
Kasie giggled, “It’s like living under piles of money.”
“Wow, I’ve lived here my whole life and I never really saw it that way.” Michelle said, tipping her head to the side in thought. “Nice catch.”
“Thank you,” Kasie grinned. “Tell us honestly Renesmee; is there anything about this place u can’t stand?”
“Not really. I mean, my family’s here, my friends. I have all the room in the world to verplaats around and there are so many places to go.”
Kasie shrugged, “If u think Port Angeles and Seattle are, like, amazing. I guess you’re right.”
“I do. The world in itself is beautiful. u just have to find the place that fits you.”
“The Bahamas fit me, thank you.”
“Like oil and water,” Michelle zei shaking her head. “I love it here too. Kasie just needs to open her mind a little bit.”
“If I open my mind anymore I’ll explode!”
Michelle laughed.
“I don’t think I get the joke,” I zei with a shrug.
The girls turned to each other, seemingly in deep thought. Finally after a few minuten Kasie turned excitedly my way, “Can u keep a secret?”
I laughed. I couldn’t really help it; someone was asking me if I could keep a secret. Hilarious.
“This is serious, Renesmee. Can u keep a secret?”
“Yes!” I exclaimed, doing my best to stop myself from laughing any more.
“Okay, so, Michelle and I are sisters, right? But, u know that so I’ll verplaats on. Well, we kind of got something . . . extra, when we were born.”
“Extra?”
Michelle sighed, like this would be hard for me to understand, “Yes. Kasie and I can communicate without speaking.”
“Like telepathy.” I stated with a nod. Suddenly everything I saw in their reactions and behaviors made meer sense.
“Yes.” Michelle nodded heavily; it was like she was trying to teach me another language of something. How funny.
“That’s not so weird.” I laughed briskly.
“You don’t think so?” Kasie asked. She was a little offended at my lack of surprise.
“No.” I sighed, chuckling quickly to myself before continuing. “Can u keep a secret?”
The girls exchanged looks before nodding.
“All right then, don’t move.” I moved to my knees, placing my hand upon Michelle’s cheek. She shivered, as most did the first time I shared my thoughts.
I showed her pictures of our house in New Hampshire, the first vis I ever caught, my bedroom in the cottage, and Jacob’s garage.
I released her face. She sat back, staring straight ahead in awe. I did the same with Kasie, receiving a much different reaction as I pulled my hand away.
“That was amazing!”
I nodded.
“How did u do that?”
“I don’t know I’ve been able to do it since I was little. Well, I kept it to myself really. My family knows, and Jacob, but that’s about it.”
“Your Grandpa Charlie knows?” Michelle asked gently.
“No. I try to keep my ‘gift’ away from him. He likes things normal.”
“Understandable. Our moms don’t even know we’re telepaths.”
“Really? No one knows?”
“No one but the two of us. And now you,” Kasie said, tipping her head in my direction.
“That’s crazy.”
“You’re telling us? How would u feel if u were three years old hearing someone else’s thoughts like they were sitting right volgende to you?”
“That would be strange. What’s the range on your connection?”
“I don’t think there is a range.” Michelle said, looking to Kasie for clarification.
Kasie shook her head, “How do u think we found out about each other?”
Now I was a little awe struck, “You heard each other.”
“Exactly,” Michelle zei with a smirk.
“Once we realized we could communicate, we were about what? Four?” Kasie asked of her sister who nodded, “We started talking, telling each other about our parents, and when we realized we had the same father, we told our moms.”
“We weren’t stealthy about it either. They had the right to know about each other.”
I nodded.
“Turns out our mothers love each other, they’re best vrienden now.”
“Two wrongs don’t make a right,” Kasie began, her lips pulling up into a shifty grin, “But two rights sure can right a wrong.”
I smiled, “And u two are most definitely right.”
We giggled together, enjoying each others company the friendship.
The three of us rushed down the stairs, giggling as we went.

As with the "new" Bella, there will be new changes to the story. Such as:
1.) Fanged vampires
2.) Burning in the sunlight
3.) Bella fighting back
4.) Taking bloody and daring turns
5.) A slightly darker and meer grim version to the family
I'll write the first one soon. And I hope the ones who read it enjoy it. It's my first fanfiction, if u would call it that, and I tried on the storyline. Really.
