Don't forget to commentaar pretty please! :) thnx!
That's how I would do it.
But I would have to have the biggest audience possible. Most people will be near the clock tower, near the castle. Perfect. I would stand underneath the clock tower, in the shadows until noon. Then, just as the sun is in the right place, I will step out into it and expose my skin. The watching humans will see me, and someone will be bound to say something.
All of the comotion will strike the attention of the Volturi, and then they will have no choice but to kill me.
This should work out perfectly. It will be quick, and hopefully I won't even feel anything.
I would miss my family, and hope they do well without me. I'm sure Esme will be devistated, but this is just something I have to do.
It's just 10:00 a.m. The streets are already crowded with people for the festival. As I walk through the city, most of the adults and children are wearing plastic vampire teeth. Pathetic. How melodramatic it would be to toon them what REAL vampire teeth look like.
I had my plan ready, knew exactly what I was going to do, and how I would do it. Now, all I was doing was wasting time.
I wish I could use this time to write a last letter to Carlisle and the rest of my family. But I can't. Thaat would only make them come in zoek of me. And Emmett, with his very small self-control might attack the Volturi and get himself killed. I had to prevent that from happening. I'm pretty sure Alice has told them everything, but hopefully she hasn't come to talk me out of it yet. I don't think anything could stop me from what I'm about to do.
*****
It was almost time. Here I stand,- with my head bowed, arms behind my back -beneath the clock tower, waiting for the clock to toll, alerting everyone of midday.
It was very loud. meer people were crowding the streets and red flags were everywhere.
The clock tolled the first time. I sighed and looked out at all of the people who would soon see me sparkle in the sunlight. I took a deep breath, and the clock tolled again.
This time, I could have swore that I heard someone call my name. They probably weren't talking to me.
The clock again. I closed my eyes and saw Bella's face again. That same peaceful smile on her face. What a great last image of her.
The clock tolled twice, and I heard the sloshing of water. Was someone trying to swim in the fountain?
Then I heard my name again. Only this time, it sounded like Bella's voice. Like she was screaming. How strange. The sloshing stopped, and now I heard fast paced footsteps running toward me. Now I was certain. It was definitely Bella's voice. I could notice it from miles away. And she was.
"EDWARD!" She screamed.
Her voice got louder. The footsteps got louder.
"EDWARD, IT'S ME! LOOK AT ME!"
I must be dead. I have to be. There's no other way that I would hear this unless I was dead. Good, they'd made it quick. Just as I'd hoped. Carlisle was right. I guess we DO have something meer after death.
The footsteps were extremely close now, and it felt like Bella was yelling in my ear other than feet away. I could tell she was running. I didn't open my eyes, but I held my arms open to catch her. The impact of hitting me must have knocked the breath out of her. Her head snapped back. I noticed my overhemd, shirt was wet. With tears. Why was she crying? Why would my vision of her when I died, be her crying? There was no reason to cry. But I didn't care. She was here with me. Even if I WAS dead, and all of this was just in my head.
"Amazing," was all I could say. My eyes were still closed.
"Carlisle was right."
"Edward u have to move!" she gasped. Was she trying to push me back? I couldn't tell.
"Hmmm. I can't believe how quick it was. I didn't feel anything." I zei in a casual tone. "You smell just like u did before. Hmm. Maybe this IS Hell. I don't care, I'll take it." And I would. Happily. I was with her, and she smelled and looked the same. Amazing. This was better than I thought.
"Edward you're not dead! And neither am I! We have to MOVE! They can't be far away!" she yelled. Who couldn't be far away? This was very strange.
"What was that?" I zei calmly, politely.
"WE'RE NOT DEAD! Not YET at least. But we have to get out of here before the Volturi-" OH! Wait. We're not dead? The Volturi? Bella's ALIVE?
WHAT THE HELL?!
Then it hit me. Rosalie obviously lied of got the story wrong. And I was sitting here about to kill myself BECAUSE ROSALIE GOT THE STORY WRONG. The Volturi were on their way to REALLY kill us because I almost exposed us, and Bella was a human who knew too much.
A thousand different emotions went through me, along with questions. I was furrious, ecstatic, nervous and hundreds of other emotions. But the thoguht of the Volturi on their way put me straight into protection mode. Because I could smell Demetri and Felix coming. I shifted Bella behind me.
"Greetings, gentlemen." I said, trying to keep my voice even. I'm sure Felix and Demetri's dark cloaks were frightening to Bella. Bella, who WAS NOT dead and with me right now.
"I don't think I'll be needing your services today, though I would appreciate it if u would give my thanks to your masters,"
"Shall we take this conversation to a meer appropriate place?" Felix asked.
"I don't think that will be necessary, I know your instructions, and I haven't broken any rules." My voice was harder now.
"Felix merely wanted to point out the proximity of the sunlight," Demetri explained.
"I'll be right behind you, then." I turned to look at Bella.
"Bella, why don't go and enjoy the festivities, I'll come find u when I get out." IF I get out.
"Bring the girl," Demetri said.
Absolutely not. Bella was way too fragile and the inside of the kasteel would probably scare her too much. Her blood was also too delightfully scented, and with her in the actual room with us as they discussed my fate, may cause them to choose hers as well. I couldn't let that happen.
"I don't think so," My voice was almost rude now.
"No," Bella mouthed.
"Shh," I murmured to her. Her talking wouldn't help either. Her being here also brought me to the vraag of how she got here. How she knew I would be here. Well, she wasn't dead, not at all, so when Alice went to Forks, Alice could have had a vision about what I was doing, and knew that only me seeing Bella would stop me, so they decided to fly here. But another vraag is, where is Alice? Knowing her, she might have stayed hidden while Bella ran to me, knowing I would run away and find a different way later if I saw her. But where was she now?
"Let's behave ourselves, shall we? There are ladies present." Alice suddenly appeared out of the back of the clock tower's alley. She moved to Bella's side behind me.
"We're not alone," She reminded us.
"Edward, please, let's be reasonable," Demetri pleaded.
"Yes, let's. We'll leave quietly now, with no one the wiser." I bargained.
There was brief moment of silence as I read Felix's thoguhts.
He wondered if I was saving Bella as a snack.
I clenched my teeth loudly and said,"No."
Felix smiled.
"Enough," a small, familiar voice warned.
I relexed my protective position, but in defeat. Now, we HAD to go with them.
"Jane," I sighed.
"Follow me," she ordered.
That's how I would do it.
