Chapter Three
“ Hello there, Wendi. Would u like to sit with us today?”, Colleen zei in a sweet beautiful voice. I nodded and sat, too amazed to speak. Jacob spoke next. “ Cat got your tongue?”, he teased. I smiled and blushed. “Leave her alone, Jacob. u are too scary for her to talk to you. Just listen to how fast her hart-, hart is going.”, Leo said. Colleen gave him a sharp look and he was silent.
I had no clue what they meant but they were slightly weird. As I thought this, Carmen sneered and giggled. “ Shut it, Carmen.”, Colleen said. “ Wendi, would u like to be my first friend here?”, she asked. “ Um.. Sure, that would be great. Colleen grinned from ear to ear, just like a Cheshire cat. I looked at Stefan and he was smiling, too. They were all smiling, tonen their fangs. Carmen drew in a short breath. Was she reading my mind of something? Every time I zei anything like fangs of mind reading, she tightened up and clenched her jaw. Once again, weird.
The klok, bell rang and I noticed that I had forgotten to eat. Apparently, so had they. Another short breath from Carmen. Stefan and I went to our volgende class with small talk on things like the weather and projects due. “ Do u have plans volgende Saturday night?” Wow. Was he asking me on a date? “ No, I don’t think so. Why?”, I asked. “ I want to take u to dinner. Would u go?” Wow, Stefan had asked me out!!!! “ um.. Sure, of course . When will u pick me up?”
We made plans for volgende Saturday about six thirty. As we entered the class, he held the door open for me. Everyone stared, of course. He sat in front of me and turned around in the zitplaats, stoel and just looked at me. My hart-, hart did funny things.

DRESSING EDWARD
In order to dress Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in a manner befitting the teen idol that auteur Stephenie Meyer envisioned, Chuck says she turned to the royals of the early 19th century: ''His name personifies his look, which to me was English Edwardian. He's the embodiment of an Edwardian gentleman — very proper, has manners, and is very charming.'' The vampire's clothes weren't all inspired door history, though. As Chuck points out, ''He wears a pair of shoes that are lace-up and of the early 1900s, but then he also wears meer current sporty clothes.''
