I ran as fast as I could towards Bella's scream. Alice was left behind. I ran faster and faster until I was a couple of yards away from HER.
"Hold it, EDWARD," sneered Victoria. Her teeth were glistening as she opened her mouth and put it dangerously close to Bella's throat. Bella was in pure terror. She was breathing reggedly, her hart-, hart was trying to break free, and I saw tears flowing down.
"Bella, don't move," I said. Victoria put her mouth closer.
"I wouldn't talk, pretty boy. It'll kill her faster, and that would be less fun."
Bella struggled. Then she cringed as Victoria tightened her grip on her throat.
"Edward," Bella whispered. "Help."
I watched as Bella turned her neck for me to see the gruesome bite mark Victoria made. Victoria laughed.
"You can't beer the thought of Bella being one of us," she sneered. "Nor Bella in pain. So I'm causing both. Watch, Cullen, as your girlfriend dies!"
Victoria bit at Bella's throat, making it closer to impossible to kee her human.
"Bella's not HIS girlfriend anymore," came a familiar voice. "She's mine."
Jacob stepped out of the trees. No! Is he crazy?!!! He's-
Jacob trembled. He's... Overdue. Jacob fell to the ground, and I could hear his thoughts clearly, but all he thought were some choice cuss words. Then his body exploded into a heap of russet-brown fur. He got up and growled. Bella's eyes went wide. Victoria dropped her. When Jacob tackled Victoria, I ran to Bella's side. Her hart-, hart was jumping faster. She screamed in agony. I was too late. The transformation had begun. Jacob came back in wolf form, ten minuten later, and saw Bella's bite wounds. The large wolf howled. I saw a tear slide from his eye and down his fur. Soon, Bella fainted from the pain.
I called Jasper. Alice came and managed to run and get something to clean the wound. Jasper calmed Jacob down, and soon, Jacob was in human form, covering his body when he realized he had no clothes. Alice ran back home pagina to find some of Emmett's. When Jacob was fully clothed, he sat at Bella's side.
"Bella called me, crying, yesterday. She zei u left. Why are u here?" Jacob asked.
"I never left. I had come door to take the things I'd gegeven her, while she was asleep. She awoke and caught me. Then Alice came and told me to take Bella and run. Victoria had returned to kill Bella. When Alice and I came across her scent, we ran in that direction. Then Bella screamed, and here we are," I explained. "How'd u find us?"
"I don't know if u noticed, but I was in the living room. I saw u holding Bella, leaving through the front door. Then I saw Alice, and I knew something was up. I followed u here."
Bella stirred. Jacob started to whisper in her ear.
"Bella, honey, we're here. Shh... Listen to my voice. I'm here. The pain will leave soon."
"No, it'll spread for two days," I said.
"Bella called, zei she needed me," Jacob whispered. Then I saw his memories through his mind.
Bella's voice coming from the reciever.
"J-Jacob? I need u here. Edward, h-he broke up with me. Please."
"Sure, let me get the rental. Meet u in a few minutes."
The engine stalled, because Jacob rushed, but soon the problem was fixed and Jacob was in Bella's room. Jacob was shushing her. Bella was crying into his chest. Then Bella started to talk.
"I-I'm willing to give-give u a chance, but I don't think my hart-, hart can love, ever again. Jacob, I want to forget it all, please, help-help me."
Jacob took one long look into her eyes, and I saw sadness and sencerity in them.
"I... Can't. Bella, I don't know u like HE did. I can't love u until after a little while. I did have a crush on you, though."
Bella layed her head against his chest.
"You're so... WARM," she whispered. "I kinda like it."
"Bella," Charlie zei as he opened the door. "Billy wants to know if he's getting his son back."
"Tell him I'm gonna stay here," Jacob called as Charlie left.
When Bella was asleep, Jacob got up.He looked a her. She didn't look as peaceful as she was when I stayed over. Jacob bent down and kissed her still lips.
"Yes, Bella, I will," he whispered. Then I saw a different scene. There I was, holding Bella as Alice swiftly opened the door. Jacob got up and followed us, and got lost. Then I heard the blood-curdling scream as Victoria attacked Bella.

"STOP," I begged. Jacob stopped thinking about the memories and looked down at Bella. Her eyes were wide open, and she was looking at Jacob.
"Help me, Jake," she whispered.
"I'm sorry, I can't," he struggled.







I opened my eyes. I was in the hotel room I rented last night. It's been one maand since I left Bella in the woods, one maand since she tried to follow me. One maand since I saw her beautiful face. Bella was still human. Victoria is still at large. And the boy, Jacob, I hope hasn't touched my Bella.
I shook my head. Bella was free to go as she pleased. I hope she doesn't go anywhere near La Push, though. I missed her chocolate brown eyes, her warm smile. Most of all, I missed hearing her lovely voice telling me she loved me. I remember her funny attitude, her complaints about her birthdays. I was about to get up to leave when my phone buzzed. Alice.
