"Who?" I didn't know what expression I had, but I definitely couldn't feel my body. I stared at Alice without blinking, but she avoided my gaze.
"Everyone" she whispered.
"We will lose?!" I squeaked.
"No, not that" she still didn't look at me. What her words mean then? "With your help I saw meer possible variants of the future than I ever could see. But in all visions we lost someone. Sometimes it was one of the wolves, sometimes one of us, sometimes it was..."
"Me?" I asked calmly and she nodded. I was surprised that her words about my possible death didn't scare me much. After all I already knew where I'm involved. Alice still didn't lifted her head and I shuddered "And you?"
"I zei everyone" I wanted to say something soothing but Jasper appeared from nowhere and hugged her.
"I'm not letting anyone hurt you. You'll be safe, I promise" his words made her even sadder but she hugged him back.
"I don't understand something" Rosalie zei coming into my room followed door Carlisle, Edward and Jacob. "Why we have to risk our lives because of these overgrown dogs?" her tone was full disgust.
"It's right thing to do, Rose" Carlisle answered coldly. "They helped us and we have to help the too"
"Rosalie is right" Jasper's voice and face was filled with anger "I'm not losing Alice just because of them"
"No one asked u for help. We can do it ourselves" Jacob replied. He looked offended.
"Jacob, we doing this out of free will. Rosalie, Jasper - u can leave any time u want. We're not forcing anyone to fight" Carlisle suggested and Alice wanted to protest but Jasper cut her off.
"Fine. We're leaving"
"How can u do that?!" Edward seemed furious too.
"How can u risk your daughter's life?!" Rosalie shouted. "You're giving her straightly to Volturi hands!"
They started arguing - I guess it was an argue cause I couldn't understand a single word, everything was zei too quickly for my ears.
"SHUT UP!" I screamed. All of them fell silent and stared at me. "Are u as u stupid as you're look like right now?" I asked fiercely and they looked almost shocked. I turned to Jasper.
"You zei yourself how much Aro wants Alice. When he'll destroy your family, don't u think he'll try to find her? I would like to see how u are going to defend your precious Alice from Volturi without help of them" I showed to others standing volgende to my bed and noticed pain in Jasper's eyes. Then I turned to Rosalie.
"None of us will have a chance of normal life, even if u run. Unless Volturi will be destroyed. And listen to Alice's words again: anyone can die. Don't tell me u haven't considered it earlier. It's a fight - of course there might be some sacrifices. Finally, if u have a choice to die in order to protect your loved ones, what will u chose?" she didn't respond and I continued "I think that all of u will do the same. All of u would give your lives to make sure others could live" I ended my speech and waited someone to say something. After a long pause Alice hugged me.
"Thank you"
"I don't want to lose" Rosalie mumbled
"Who zei that we're gonna lose?" Alice jumped on her feet "Actually we had an advantage. I couldn't see the ending of the fight but as far as I saw they had lost much meer than we"
"That's good news, isn't it?" Jacob asked unsure.
"Definitely. Volturi will come near us tonight, but they are planning to attack us tomorrow, early in the morning. Aro will send a team to find scents of all vampires who could fight. He's expecting us to have an army like we did last time. When he'll see that we have nothing except one human, all of them will relax too much" Alice explained.
"But when he'll see what that human is capable to do..." Edward grinned.
"Alice, why u don't have an army like last time?" it's not possible that they didn't consider it.
"Last time we asked them not to fight but only to witness. They all fell in love with Nessie so much that most of them were ready to fight for her. But how can we ask them to fight for werewolves who are enemies of vampires? No one will kom bij us and especially them" she glanced at Jacob.
"OK" I zei climbing out of bed "Let's prepare to give Volturi warm welcome"
"That's the spirit!"
We spent all the dag planning on strategies. I was informed about all powers Volturi soldiers might have. Everyone already had a position - Jasper decided that the smartest solution is to form small groups of 2-3 werewolves and one vampire. Me and Nessie were placed in the farthest and safest spot. Bella and Edward didn't want her in the fight at all but I convinced them that one extra ability can be really useful. Right after the sunset Carlisle offered everyone to get some rest before fight and spend some time with families. I didn't want any time, especially when I had no one to be with but than I noticed Embry waving me. When I went to him he gently took my face in his hands and kissed me. I smiled.
"I thought maybe you'd like to spend some time with me" he suggested shyly
"I would love to" and tiptoed to kiss him again. "Aren't there anyone else with whom u should be with now?" I didn't want to steal time from his family.
"No. I have only my mom, but she's in conference, in Chicago"
"So you're alone?"
"Yes. You?"
"Me either. So what are we planning to do?"
"I don't know..." I almost could see him blushing - it was all reassurance I needed. I took of my jas and started kissing him...

purple and then, she was in a cloak. Then, she put me under a spell to follow'
whatever she says. I tried to stop her, but it was too late. She told me that
I would regret asking u out for the rest of my-"
