I'm super glad Betty gave Matt a chance!!!! I think they are going to be sooo cute together...they are definately an adorable couple...:)
As an ANTI-Henry person I got to say I did NOT like how MUCH he was in this episode, I just felt like he shouldn't have been that much a part of it...YUCK!
Connor/Willie broke my heart in this episode, I mean honestly I love Connor, I HATE that he hates Daniel and that made me like him less I'm just being honest, but I can see where he is coming from and it is really sad that Willie felt she had to chose her career instead of love...:(
Daniel/Molly, as everybody knows I'm not really a Dolly fan, but I got to say I started freaking balling my eyes out a few minutes ago when she told Daniel they didn't have a future because she didn't have one, I'm actually starting to hope she doesn't die, but just leaves...:(
I'll write more later I got to go for now...:)
I absolutely love Matt, he's a sweetheart. And I like that Betty accepted Henry's friend request, I think that shows that she's finally mature enough to deal with their break-up in a grown-up way, instead of stashing it all away and exploding when it becomes too much.
I loved Connor in this, I thought it was a bit unrealistic for a man as powerful and such a presence as he is to be put in the background and be low-key for so long as he was, but now it makes sense, he was keeping a low profile in order to take all that money from Mode.
And I have to say, evil!Connor was a hundred times more interesting (and sexy) than normal Connor.
I like that Wili showed us more of her complex moral tapestry. Yes, I love her evil too, but she's not COMPLETELY evil, she does love Mode over everything else and while she will do anything for the company, no matter how bad it is, she would never betray the company itself.
And, the ending made me bawl. I think I'm one of the few who loves Molly, and it was just so sad, especially for Daniel. He's grown so much, and I can't help but fear for him, because there's two ways out of this (I think it's inevitable Molly's going to die): 1) he will take that hurt and transform it into strength and maturity, and come out better or 2) he will become an absolute emotional wreck.
Molly is the first woman he's opened himself up to so much, and it's very likely her death will destroy that and set him back on his emotionally closed, womanizing paths for a while.
And Ugly Betty has some of the damn best music montages there are on television, the ending made me cry my eyes out.
BUT what I did like was that Connor mentioned Daniel to Betty when he threatened her in the elevator!Connor knows how important Daniel is for Betty!Yay!
Also, I loved the fact that Betty knows Daniel so well..that she knows his secret place..etc
Also I have to mention that MICHAEL URIE is a wonderful actor! I loved him in his serious moments, as when he said to Betty where Willy was..I think that an actor proves hiw worth, when he's great both in the funny and the serious aspect of a character..And Urie does this!
Overall, I liked this eppy, cause it had big moments, which I didn't expect! For example, that thing about Connor stealing the company..I definitely didn't see it coming!
PS: WHERE IS CHRISTINA? Did she simply gave the baby to Wilhelmina, and the nothing? She gave birth in a fashion show!Shouln't she be in the hospital? And see Betty visiting her?
but yeah, i agree with detty4ever and besafe- the henry plot was offputting. but think about this for a second- remember in season 2's finale 'jump' where she had to choose between gio and henry, and in the end she decided not to choose either of them? well, in betty suarez land, she and gio felt that they'd be better off as friends in the end and thus, betty needed to assure herself that she moved on from him and for him to move on from betty- and still remain friends with her.
and so with henry, we needed closure on his and betty's relationship, and for betty to come clean on where she stands with regards to henry. so betty in the end decided not to answer his facebook page or email response. and rightly so. henry was annoying- in the sense that he had a child with a woman, betty hates whilst, he was in a relationship with betty at the same time. i'm not condemning him for being a father, but rather in season 2 especially, some of the things he did for betty, were out of pity and desperation. not to mention he turned into a selfish and somewhat obnoxious guy.
betty is gradually maturing and is learning that the likes of henry will come and go, but once she finds the right man- which will probably be daniel, and learn things along the way, she will find life not so difficult to handle.
okay- here are my other thoughts on the ep:
molly- i am not a big fan of hers but i felt sorry for her and her illness is taking a devastating toll on daniel. i worry for him a lot, particularly if and when he falls off the wagon and goes back to his old ways. fingers crossed, betty will be there for daniel and to help him get back on track.
connor- one word: evil, especially when he tried to threaten betty's family. i do think however that he will be found out by the police and go to jail. eventually that is.
willie- most of the time, i just wanted to hate her what with her and connor attempting to flee the country, but for her, her heart belonged somewhere else, and yet it just wasn't connor's. i liked the scene between her and betty towards the end, and betty's talk with willie. i love willie when she has a heart and shows her caring side at the same time- when she is totally evil however, that is when my view of her is completely different. though, i still love willie this season- more than i did in season 2 where she was utterly spiteful and heartless.
matt- was cute as usual. i think that he might turn out to be one of the show's most loved characters. i hope he stays and the writers turn him into a permanent character on UB. he deserves a much bigger role per se and i'd love to see him work at mode.
marc and amanda- their roles were minor in this episode, though i do miss seeing them together. it has now been a while since we have seen them on screen for more than 1 or 2 scenes. they bring in the laughs for UB, and i do think that given how heavy the drama was in this episode, as well as a the last few- besides 'kissed off', it would be great to see some funny episodes just like with filing for the enemy, granny pants and ugly berry with mamanda in them. so we need more mamanda moments! :) the bit where marc tells betty where willy is, goes to show that he has grown as a character since season 1, and that marc is really developing into not only a great and amusing character, but he is becoming more and more of a fan favourite with many people. thanks to michael urie that is. :)
christina- yet again, it seems as if the writers only want to give her a certain amount of screentime because of the baby plot. but where was she in this one? seriously, with regards to christina i am losing faith in the writers for the way they have treated ashley jensen's character.
overall though, things fall apart, was excellent. there were a lot of interesting moments in the episode, which made it watchable and less boring. but it helped also that the writing was top notch stuff. so yeah, i wouldn't mind watching this one again.
