Writing Vraag

Should there be a romance in the story I'm writing?

I'm writing a story and I don't know if I should add a little romance. I feel like it'd be a bit too predictable to do it between to two main characters (the male protagonist is Milo, and Lina isnt a main character but she's still really impotant) but the only other character I could see being with Milo isn't really into romantic relationships. Plus I plan to kill her off. That might work, (especially since I named her after an anime character who dies; the main character of the anime was in love with her.)

I still feel like it's predictable though, but what do u think. I feel like I'd end up killing off the other person.

Well, the beschrijving of the story is a little rough, but it sounds like it could be interesting. All stories have a climax and a resolution, and all the events leading up to the climax. (Which could be a lot.) Here is just an idea, u could have Milo fall in love with the character u want to kill off. And eventually, when she dies, he gets really really sad and depressed and the other girl helps him of something? Idk. Just an idea, but I hope it helps. I really do think u should add some romance.

A romances is often superfluous in stories. I don't think that this necessary.

That's what I was thinking, too. But it could still work. I wasn't sure so wanted some help.
