Darkness had overcome the city, another moonless night. He stumbled down the street, leaning on the uithangbord when his feet couldn’t hold him alone. I could only stare in horror at the way the victim looked. I killed him with both poison and touch. I backed away as realization came to me of what I had done. I pulled my gloves back on without notice, and was abruptly pulled from my thoughts of the poor man laying before me.
